I found a tutorial that would be more appropriate for my timetable, but it's currently full. Is there any chance that students will change their timetables, and any spots in that particular tutorial will free up?
Also, if a tutorial has 24 availabilities, how many places need to be filled to...
I've had a few questions arise in the last couple of days, so I thought I'd post them all up here. If you know the answer to any, or you can direct me to someone who might know (UNSW contact number, etc), thanks in advance.
1. Is it possible to do one major/one minor in the Arts component of...
I've looked around, and so far I can't seem to find answers to my question.
Hypothetical example:
If you are transferring in your first year of Commerce @ UNSW to Commerce @ USyd and the transfer is successful, do you start Commerce @ USyd as a second year student, or a first year student...
For those who have now finished the HSC - are you looking forward to getting your results ASAP - or are you hoping this month or so between the exams and results never ends?
Personally, it sounds a bit lame, but I'm excited for the results.
Study ALL issues/topics briefly and have an essay outline for each (rather than preparing several in-depth) in preparation of the extended responses?
For example either:
1) Write a whole essay, with statistics, relevant information, analysis, conclusion, etc.
OR
2) Outline the structure for...
I currently have three related texts (I will cut down to the two most appropriate in the exam).
Two of them are films though. Would it be marked down if I only did films for my related texts? Are they expecting us to analyse different mediums for our related texts (because my prescribed texts...
In the second stanza, second line, it is "home" or "lone"?
Both have been used on different versions online.
I don't have a copy of the proper edition from the HSC prescribed texts. So if anyone could clarify (or just post whole the poem), it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Does it mean that these samples are outstanding (aka achieved full marks) or does it mean that these samples are good model responses for reference (i.e. these responses covered all the appropriate topic areas)?
Do short stories/creative responses that we write need to have titles?
On sample creative responses they don't usually have titles, and I was just wondering if having a title for a short story would be beneficial or detrimental?
Thanks for helping.
I'm not personally going to do this and I'm just curious, but if someone already had an interest in genetics and their class did communication, are they allowed to switch and do a different elective in the HSC that they feel more comfortable with? Or are they restricted by whichever elective...
So (just for an example) if I studied Emily Dickinson for English Adv. would I be able to do an essay on "the personification of death" (which Emily Dickinson explores in some of her poems) or would I somehow have to also relate this topic back to belonging in order for it to be an extension of...
Could one of these strategies be if a country is part of a free trade agreement, or has signed a environmental treaty (kyoto)?
Or is it relating more to the domestic side, e.g. immigration policies, welfare payments, redistribution of income?
If the marker doesn't understand something specific in my work, how would they be able to find the research, notes or reference they were looking for (especially when my journals are probably going to be generally messy and all-over-the-place)?
Is it advisable to number each page of my journal...
I've tried to find where it says assumed knowledge on the different university websites located around NSW/Sydney, but some of the websites are hard to navigate and in general don't usually list assumed knowledge clearly (probably because it isn't important compared to other details).
Does...
Just say you had to give some advice on the English Extension 2 course to '09ers, or anyone else in who did the course in the future - something you wished you had known before you had started, or that you wish you had done differently, or something that you found to be helpful, fun or effective...
I enjoy all of my subjects, though I would like to drop a subject that would be the hardest to study for or would take up the most study time compared to my other subjects (with my marks in each subject also taken into consideration). I would rather not drop any of my English extension subjects...
