Courses that have highest % of graduates finding jobs?

I would have thought that, so long as you go to a G8/major university, employment opportunities don't really vary (within disciplines that is)...especially with relatively industry-ready degrees like architecture and economics. I've been told time and time again that interviews are the *key* to...

Courses that have highest % of graduates finding jobs?

Not exactly a great rebuttal! Don't you see any irony there? True, maths is being outsourced to engineers and you could always argue that an architecture degree (via a bachelor of 'environments') at Melbourne is more 'work-ready' than the Monash equivalent which is based in a fine arts...

Courses that have highest % of graduates finding jobs?

Well, I initially studied architectural design at Monash University, then decided to study economics at the University of Melbourne. I found that architecture at an undergraduate level was way to arts focused; i.e. in my opinion, not enough emphasis was placed on technical drawing and maths...

Likelihood of mid-year entry for arts?

It was a fine arts course in disguise! It involved 13 weeks of life-drawing, art theory (such as 'why furniture with no legs is popular') and hanging eggs from the ceiling with string. I'm all for creativity and hands-on learning, but it did seem a bit pointless. Plus, you're expected to be on...

Mid-year entry (arts) at Melbourne Uni?

Hi all Just wondering if anyone at Melbourne Uni knows what the drop-out rate for arts is like this year. I started architecture at Monash on scholarship and hated it after two weeks and thus, I am hoping to apply for arts mid-year if possible.... Apparently there were only 10 places on offer...

Which Vic uni is best for journalism?

I want to study journalism at a Victorian university. RMIT seems to have the best reputation. Any insights? I've considered Melb Uni, but the BComm course is being discontinued after 2009 and so many subjects have already been discontinued. Are there any other unis with a reasonable...
