I've heard from many places that you study Physics, Maths and Chem in Engineering. I was planning on doing a summer school course and do CHEM1101. I've emailed the engineering faculty asking whether this chemistry course is of relevance to the engineering course or not but have received no reply...

Yes you do need to know basic APL and C syntax and code, however usually they give you a reference a bit of code and ask you to add on to it.

YEP! During the time we've had it which is since June, we've had 100% uptime. It slightly lags when all of us are uploading at the same time. (All of us being 7) so yeh. It's good ^^
