You can go to USyd/UNSW/etc and fail your subjects and be anti-social or extremely weird (like the trolls on here) - I know of people like that. You could also go to UWS because your UAI didn't make the cutoff for other unis, but do very well academically and socially at UWS and get job offers...

A waste to do a masters in accounting if you already have an undergrad in it?

Thanks. Yeah, mid-tier firms would be great to get into. I just hope I get into any accounting job within 6 months of graduating. I have heaps of customer service experience, but no accounting experience.

A waste to do a masters in accounting if you already have an undergrad in it?

Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I think any accounting experience I can get would be very useful for my career, especially if they support my CA studies. I really want accounting experience, regardless of whether I get a masters or not, because having just education and no experience seems a bit...

A waste to do a masters in accounting if you already have an undergrad in it?

I only have a pass GPA for my undergraduate degree in accounting at UWS, due to my earlier years of slacking off. I'm motivated to do well now. I am applying for any accounting related job I can get, but just in case I won't be employed in something related for a year, do you think it's a good...

ESSAY Q what you guys reckon

didn't your unit offer potential ways to answer this question? maybe talk about how understanding technology gives them greater avenues to design...

    bachelor of communication

I am interested in having screen media as an elective for my accounting degree. Would you be able to give me an idea of what screen media was about? What made it enjoyable? And is theory very boring, or can it be interesting? Thanks! :)

Would someone be able to recommend a good writing & media unit?

I'm currently studying an accounting course, and I want something interesting as an elective. I've narrowed it down, for now, to units that are on writing and media arts (films, animation..) Are these units enjoyable or interesting? - English, text & writing - Writing as communication...

    Business Academic Skills (vUWS)

Wow, she's everything now lol. Well, good on her. Keep up with workload and I think it's likely you'll do well in FAA, which means you'll do well in Intermediate Financial Accounting and, I also think, Corporate Accounting Systems (which I seem to be doing fine with atm). G'luck.

    What are you currently Reading?

Giving by Bill Clinton. A little inspirational. I'm up to the third chapter.

    Business Academic Skills (vUWS)

More information on what exactly? There is no final exam. The unit coordinator stated that in one of the discussion threads on vUWS. The unit outline also states that the unit has no formal/final exams. This is great because I will only have two final exams this semester :D

    Business Academic Skills (vUWS)

BAS is up on vUWS for me. According to vUWS, the first 3 lectures are compulsory. I think if you have any problems attending you should email them about it: BAS@uws.edu.au. Or check out the vUWS discussion forum to see how staff have responded to similar things. I'm so glad that they don't...

    Why have a submajor?

The only elective that's not Tax Law and Law of Bus Org is Introduction to Information Systems. I've done all the cores of old accounting course 2507 up until the Spring semester of 2nd year, I think. I wish Accounting students could, but Tax Law is needed in order to satisfy CPA/CA...

    Why have a submajor?

I'll do it in Summer School haha. I'm just not ready to do four level 3 units in Spring Semester, along with part-time work. Since I don't need Tax Law as a prerequisite for any units, I'm going to delay it to a time I can concentrate on it. Yeah, I can't really offer good advice on the unit...

    Why have a submajor?

Oh, but my GPA is currently sitting at an ugly fail average, unfortuantely. So, yeah, I wanted to weight the pros and cons of having a submajor. I'm not sure about whether employers will look at the WAM. Hmmm. I just don't like the idea of graduating with a fail average overall...

    Why have a submajor?

I did Tax Law for 3 weeks and then dropped it before census date. You MUST do the homework from the very beginning, otherwise the reading overwhelms you. If you've seen the pack of 3 textbooks they make you buy, you'll see how much reading there is to do. Tax Law is definitely harder than...

    The Shittest Movie Ever.

No, really. What was good about No Country For Old Men? Explain to me why you liked it.

    Why have a submajor?

Hey boris, I was thinking of choosing no submajor, and just choosing random units that I think will either be interesting or easy. You're in first year (and have just finished first semester, I would assume) so I think your GPA of 3.75 is definitely something that can be fixed, just don't...

    The Shittest Movie Ever.

Silent Hill - Walked out of this. Most of the movie was of the mother screaming her daughters name. "Shaaaaaarrooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnn!!! Where are you, Sharon? Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaroooooooooonnnnn!!!". Repeat over and over again. DOA - It's a given, I suppose. Shooter - Boring characters...

The 'Tomorrow' Series and the 'Ellie Chronicles'

I read the Tomorrow series ages ago, and I really liked it then. They were the kinds of books that get you reading into the wee hours of the morning.
