    Insurance for [red] P-Platers

My CTP has been around $515 every year since I got my red P's (07) with my excess being $800. I had an accident in 08 just after I got my greens, the next year my CTP had actually come down around $10 but my excess is now $1500 because I made a claim (although its nearly been 2 years so should...

congrats. must find out what my store target is. to be fair, those that had the higher scan rates were people that are mostly on self serve/smokeshop

That's incorrect... well it doesn't add up to what I earn anyway. You should earn 2.7 times the amount of a part time/full time rate on a public holiday. 2.5 = double time and a half. 0.2 = casual loading.

Just during school term or the holidays as well? I don't envy you at all :p I've got one more assessment and 2 days left of TAFE and then on holidays for 3 weeks. Put in unavailable at work this week so that I had time to get everything done and decided to have the weekend off while I was at it...

I saw mine for the 12th June. 10.61. Didn't realise I was so slow. Makes me wonder what the scan rate is for some other people.

I went to two Coles yesterday - one my store - and neither of them were wearing the aprons! Even my CSM was working last night and she didn't have one on.

Just a tad! Do you know how long this is for and whether we get to keep the aprons? They were doing all that stuff on Wednesday evening while I was at work. Supervisor didn't seem impressed with being given all these jobs.

When it's heaps busy the supervisor will hand pick people to come around to the smoke counter - those that have 1-2 items. But its only ever 1 at a time. That same supervisor also walks up to the big registers and picks people out that have very small loads that are normally too big for express...

Did you accept? I've had a call for 4hr shift doing 'loose stock' but that was when we had massive aisle changes. I remember when we went on a cleaning spree because some important people were coming. That was ages ago though and no one got a specific shift to do it.

Oh wow, don't most banks have limits at $1000 a day via EFTPOS anyway? Our limit at Coles is $400 and rarely do I get people that want that much.

Oh so not just my store... although the sheet I signed said $1000 and I was told the other day they've taken it up to $1500. I wish they would make up their minds as to what they want done, I've signed at least 3 team talks about clearances since February.

Lucky you! I put in unavailable for most of the last week of June (only available on the Sunday). But that's because I have like 4 assessments due that week - the Saturday is for recovering and celebration.
