WTB: UNSW Foundations of Law Textbooks

Other than Textbook Exchange, you may be able to get a copy in the Second Hand bookshop on campus- I think they sell currently used texts at ~70% of RRP. Also, I think people advertise their textbooks for sale in the window of this bookshop.

    I want to decline

Pretty sure you need to formally withdraw from the first course you have enrolled in. At UNSW, I think you need to submit this form: https://my.unsw.edu.au/student/academiclife/ProgramEnrolmentVariationForm.pdf Definitely check with your respective uni in any case - I wouldn't just leave it and...

    Jd 2010

I had a similar dilemma last year (not a bad problem to have mind you ;) ) I got into Sydney LLB (Grad) main round and was really happy about it. I had even enrolled. The only reason I changed my prefs for the late round was because Sydney didn't offer part-time, whereas the (then) UNSW LLB...

How to Unenrol/Exit from my course

You can discontinue a degree whenever you like! There's no minimum requirement of time you need to stay there. That 'minimum of 1 semester' thing might be referring to taking a leave of absence. You can use this form: https://my.unsw.edu.au/student/academiclife/ProgramEnrolmentVariationForm.pdf

    Please help :)

Flamearrows: I agree with you 100%. I didn't do a good job of wording that part of my post well at all. Will edit it incase I give anyone the wrong idea! Using the word 'Results' was a terrible way to phrase what I was trying to say. Extracting the principle from the cases you have studied...

    Please help :)

Assuming you've covered the relevant principles of contract law in your course ...(such as offer and acceptance -> was there a contract in the first place? what were the terms? Breach? Termination? etc - this list isn't exhaustive, just some examples)...cover off on each area as you work through...

    Jd 2010

The main reasons I transferred to the JD were more flexibility in the way I progressed through the degree and greater access to some post-grad law electives. There really is very little difference between the JD and grad LLB though. It's the same syllabus and lecturers - some classes have both...

    Jd 2010

I've transferred in. I've just done a year (part-time) of the Grad LLB at UNSW - we were all given the option to transfer across to the JD or stay in Grad LLB.

    Toughest Law School

There's some interesting figures for UNSW at this link here: http://community.boredofstudies.org/138/faculty-law/30107/past-grade-distributions.html I agree, it definitely takes some getting used to. I've just done my first year of grad law at UNSW, and Ds and HDs are MUCH harder to come by...

Accept the UNSW JD offer, any suggetions about the course enrollment?

Sorry, not too sure about clashes and how they are resolved. You can definitely change your timetable after you finish enrolling though. I'd give Student Services at the Law Faculty a call, when they re-open after New Years, to check out what is happening.

Accept the UNSW JD offer, any suggetions about the course enrollment?

Yep 22nd Feb (O week) would be right for the start of the intensive weeks. Semester 1 starts 1 March and the first year JD classes don't start until week 2 (March 9) - see the timetable I linked to before.

Accept the UNSW JD offer, any suggetions about the course enrollment?

2009 was my first year, but only part-time (Tues and Fri 2-6pm, plus for Foundations - weeks 1-6 Tue/Fri 6-8pm), so no Saturdays for us. I think the Saturdays option is about trying to be more flexible with times classes are offered. Next year, Foundations is being taught slightly differently...

Accept the UNSW JD offer, any suggetions about the course enrollment?

A number of us that are transferring from the Grad LLB to the JD weren't actually able to enrol online - we had to get Student Services at the Law Faculty to enrol in our chosen classes for us. Although, that may have been fixed up now. I believe there are some extra 'tentative' classes that...

Accept the UNSW JD offer, any suggetions about the course enrollment?

Rectangles This might help to work out the best timetable before you actually enrol in the classes.

UAC's University Offers 2009 Online - see who's in your course!

Maybe so re: the combined law, however it does say 'about 250 places, including transfer and special admission places'? FAQs - Future students - The University of Sydney Perhaps more places were made available, but the USYD website not updated?

Quantify the numbers needed to enter post-grad law at USYD or UNSW?

I was just offered a place in grad law at USYD with a GPA of 6.64 (BSc (Chem)). My UAI/TER wasn't taken into consideration (happily!), because it is over 10 yrs since I did my HSC, so entry was solely based on my GPA. I spoke to Sydney Law School regarding this in December. Apparently, if your...
