Re: The Official Football Thread
I don't understand what you said
Don't the CL winners get automatic qualification to the tournament the season after? If so, if we beat Villarreal in that 2 legged qualifier than there would've been 5 English teams in the competition that season
Re: The Official Football Thread
I agree except for Rodwell, I can definitely see him being a good enough player to make it at a top club in a few years (although I hope he stays)
Re: The Official Football Thread
Wow at the 2 people who think Torres would be better than Messi (the heir-apparent to Diego Maradona) if he wasn't always injured. Messi is by far the best player in the world, and at the rate he's going now he could very well be known as the greatest player...
Re: The Official Football Thread
Spurs have spent a shitload of money and have a massive wage bill... but apart from them you're right

Re: The Official Football Thread
Those are the only ones worth mentioning... even then Arteta, Fellaini and Modric are nowhere near the calibur of players that Cesc and Rooney are... the others you mentioned are laughable
Re: The Official Football Thread
Hopefully with Robben and Schweinsteger back Bayern can finish Utd off at OT.... don't want to see Utd in another final
Re: The Official Football Thread
Can't believe the 2nd leg of Bremen v Valencia wasn't televised anywhere...... the first leg was so good, I just knew the 2nd leg would be epic
