    I was just wondering: why is it possible for the atoms in a metal crystal to cease vibrating altogether? how does this not contradict Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle if we are able to know the exact momentum (and I'm assuming we can know its position)??? Thanks in advance!!

    We were just taught today that: if you have red and blue light and want to have the same energy per unit area you will need different numbers of photons since E(red) < E(blue). So then to have the same intensity, you need more red photons then blue photons...if intensity is equal to W/m^2...

    holidays: study vs. play?

    don't study in the year 11 holidays!! year 11 is for having fun. you shouldn't even study too much in yr 12 holidays...you gotta have a balance. if you do too much study you will just burn out...i have seen people do this and it's not pretty. :)
