    Belonging: Related Text Suggestions

Thanks for the advice - I was starting to stress that Carrie was a horrible choice that wasn't going to work well. My teacher is asking for us to compile and submit our analysis so she can get an idea of how we will be using our related texts and I was having some trouble with drawing out...

    Belonging: Related Text Suggestions

I need some serious advice regarding my written related text. I started analyzing "Carrie" by Stephen King, however am wondering now if it was the best choice. Do you think "Carrie" is really suitable for the AOS? Should I continue with "Carrie", or switch to something else with a greater...

What subjects are you thinking of dropping next yr?

Definitely Legal Studies. In fact, I'm going to see the curriculum coordinator about it tomorrow. Which will take me down to 12 units. :)

    Noisy Class!!!! What to do?!?

I am in the same situation as you. My Ancient History class is incredibly disruptive, and our teacher, as good as he may be, only came this year and cannot control the class. I have the same teacher for my Legal Studies class, however Legal Studies is different, all the committed students who...

    Childhood obesity a myth

It's still appalling when you come across it. Idiot parents don't know how to say no to their children.

    Rosemeadow Violence

If anybody has been watching the news lately, you would have seen the reports about the violent brawl in the Sydney suburb of Rosemeadow. Macbeth Way's Night of Blood -SMH I did have a good laugh at the Mother on the news last night, who told journalists: However, this isn't really...

Spot (the Dog) vs. Mr. Men vs. Where's Wally vs. Other (specify)?

I always loved Spot the Dog. I never really was interested in the other picture books. :)

My plans are to clean up for Christmas, go Christmas shopping, have a good Christmas, etc. I'm exercising ALOT more and so I'm getting fitter, I'm also reading more and just having a fun time doing whatever. If I feel like cooking a meal for dinner or something I will, If I feel like going out...

Has anyone burn't those mofo's yet?

This year's load of books has been added to the plethora of Kinder - Year 10 books that have taken a permanent position in my wardrobe. Who knows, they might come in handy one day :haha:. There was too much work put into them to just cast them away.

    Learning ahead for Preliminary HSC

I will be taking most of the holidays off to relax and perhaps do some more reading. I've also planned to start getting back into my working mindset very early next year, so Option A most likely.

    Science MC- Astronomy question

It said the observatory was controlled by satellite, so I assumed that it had something to do with electromagnetic radiation. The Ozone hole answer seemed a bit dodgy, but I put it down anyway because it just seemed to fit best.

national burning of year all 7-10 books?

I'm not burning my books, I put too much effort bent over with an aching back, writing them out. Besides, they might come in handy.

    Maths SC

Dammit, almost a whole night last week was dedicated to surds. Oh well. It is still good to know them, I'll be using them in the future.

Responses of individuals, groups and govts?

Responses of the Individual: Lobbying - signing petitions, sending letters to government to encourage aid/more emphasis on human rights. Non-Government Organisations - Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). - campaigns, letter writing, media...

    Treaties related to foreign aid?

Would an examiner accept that? I don't think aid covers assistance in war. Perhaps if the assistance is humanitarian aid during war, but those treaties don't really relate to humanitarian aid, they're more about the provision of troops/defence vehicles/etc.

    Should I study for history/geography?

If you want to go well in them, then you probably should. I would reccomend focusing on Prominent individuals/Social + Cultural features Post WW2/Australia's regional and global links/Aboriginals/Women's Liberation/Communism + associated wars/Environmental management - as these are probably the...

    Who found the SC Easy?

It wasn't too hard, some questions required more thought, but I got through those alright. I always find some of the MC answers they give in these tests hilarious. I remember in a trial exam for Science there was a question about how this girl should test the acidity of some mud and one of the...

    Bushranger Question SC English

I wrote about how the initial description of the bushranger juxtaposed with his sombre mood - or something to that effect. I think I went well with that question. At least I hope I did :p
