@katietheskatie - yea but most of the people on the guitar forums are a bunch of wankers who would tell me to: go and buy better guitars, to go and get some custom pedal board and midi junction box with preset effect loops bla bla wank wank etc.
Much rather see if there's someone here who can...
So if you know nothing about guitar gear, don't bother replying...
So my current rig is thus:
Guitars
Ibanez halfbody Acoustic
Tanglewood Jumbo
Ibanez RG something or other
and about to get a PRS SE Custom
also have access to a Yamaha SA2200 hollowbody (one sexy beast), and a Maton...
Can't remember if I've posted in here.
Guitar
Bass guitar (Not just a guitarist who plays bass)
Drums
Piano
Saxophone
Clarinet
I sing pretty well
Harmonica
I can play a little double bass
:)
Oh I enjoy most of the music I make.
But I'm a trained musician. That's what I do. If I can't earn money any other way than selling my soul... I mean music I don't like... then that's my choice.
I DO actually need to eat and pay rent
Well actually the quote I put in was saying that If I didn't make music because I enjoy but because I want to make money from something I'm good at... that I deserve to lose everything
It IS a job numb nuts... you're a performer (I'm a working musician and studying music at the Con).
Yes we should make music for the love of it... but If we record it we deserve to be payed for it...
Do you know how much time and effort goes into recording just a single track? Do you know...
Cynic are not similar to Opeth...
But Opeth are fantastic...
A good way to jump into Opeth is to listen to Porcupine Tree before them (get used to the prog style, the seemingly disjointed song writing etc)
You can stop whinging because you didn't fucking pay for it... Do you school work and feel lucky that you have access to the internet and an education system that makes sure you have access to a computer
I keep a couple of my most commonly played games on the SSD and that's it...
For storage you don't want them... because all the deleting and re-writing and deleting again and rewriting rinse repeat rinse repeat will wear out the drive
