Marks required to stay in ABL course?..

Pass: 50-64% Credit: 65-74% Distinction: 75-84% High Distinction: 85-100% It takes a bit of effort to maintain a credit average, but as long as you don't slack off too much and complete all of your readings and homework during the semester, then you'll be fine! ;)

Marks required to stay in ABL course?..

You need an average GPA of 5.0 throughout your ABL degree or you'll get dropped to the normal BBC course. This means that you will at least need a credit average (65+) for each subject. Of course, you can still have passes provided that you have distinctions and high distinctions to balance...

Re: 2010 UWS Chatter Thread First day... first day... first day... *head explodes* Only managed to sneak in a good couple of hours of sleep despite my attempt to go to bed early. :(

Re: 2010 UWS Chatter Thread Sort of, but I will miss not having to wake up early in the mornings! ;)

    How many hrs of study?

Like what the above poster said, it's recommended by the uni that you should study 10 hours a week per unit which also includes your contact hours. Assuming that your typical unit comprise of a 2 hour lecture and a 2 hour tutorial, you'll be left with 6 hours to study the content material at...

    Parramatta Campus - Bankstown

Heh, that's a pretty sweet deal since that totals up to 68.5 AUD! Damn, if only I had a debit card... ;) @Vu: to be honest, I have no idea! Apparently the bus services from Bankstown to my house doesn't even accept travel tens! :(

    Parramatta Campus - Bankstown

What?! You preordered your copy for only $58? The collector's edition?! I'm not sure how you can get the game that cheap considering the standard edition in NA is 60 USD. Unless you're referring to the Japanese version which has slashed down on its price by 50% lol.

    Parramatta Campus - Bankstown

Ugh, totally forgot about that. What colour travel pass should I get? Kind of sucks considering a month's worth of travel will cost more or less than the price of Final Fantasy XIII, depending on whether you're purchasing the standard or collector's edition. ;)

    Parramatta Campus - Bankstown

Great, I've just realised that my travel expenses per week will total up to $36. OMG! *smashes head against the desk* :(

    nervous....

Don't worry, your tutorials will be one of the best places to become acquainted with your peers and making friends. It's more difficult during lectures on the other hand considering a lot of students tend to go in groups, or may attempt to camouflage themselves in the crowd lol. Just remember...

    BBC First Year

Yep, you only need to enroll into one tutorial and lecture for each of those units. There's no point going to the same class twice. ;) Textbooks: Connect Books Bookstore for University of Western Sydney (UWS)

    Vuws

Considering there are a few professors here and there at UWS, it's not that bad of a generalisation. I thought it was a tad unnecessary to actually point out the correction since she never even stated that all academics must be professors. Give the first years some slack! ;)

    Tutorial Registration

I hate tutorial registration. Missed out on one class and now I'm left with a 4 day schedule. :(

    Enrolment for Business and Commerce

^Typical BBC degree: -7 core units -9 units from your key program -8 free electives (5 if you're doing accounting and planning to become accredited with the CPA/CA) Go figure. ;)

    SMH on Prof. Steve Keen

Why are you up this early in the morning?! Considering I still haven't slept yet, I'm not going to bother reading that article Lol. Damn tute rego... ;)

    Parramatta Campus - Bankstown

The most efficient way to get to the Parramatta campus from Bankstown would be to catch a train to Lidcombe, switch trains to Parramatta then go on any of these buses: 520, 521, 522, 523, 524, 525 and L20. ;)

    Tutorial Registration

YES! Managed to sneak into one of the most popular tutorial times for Corporate Financial Management. AWESOME! ;) *does happy dance*

    Business and Commerce Help

Lol, the maths in economics are relatively simple, with a few basic algebraic equations here and there and tons of graphs relating to the concepts of demand and supply. So yep, you will be fine as long as you take your time to grasp the concepts! Recalling from the final exam I did two...
