Trial marks:
Eng. Adv.: 50%
3u: 48%
4u: 26.5%
Phys: 47.5%
Chem: 36%
Pretty bad, those marks knocked me out of top 10 for English and Physics, and solidified my already bad maths and chemistry ranks.
Yeah but, just by looking from the ranks, if I were to continue with similar marks into the...
English Adv.: 15/70
Maths 3U: 44/57
Maths 4U: 35/40
Physics: 14/40
Chemistry: 25/30
School HSC Rank for 2009: 62
School HSC Rank for 2010: 160
Estimated School HSC Rank for 2011: 120
I know they aren't too good, but is it still possible to get into an 80's range (enough for UNSW's FEAS...
My subjects are in my sig. I know that maths continually builds on itself, and english continually improves english skills, but how about physics and chemistry?
There weren't enough people for a SDD class (and I'm assuming programming gets done in that subject?), so the only computer related subjects left were IPT and Computer Applications. Seeing as I would probably drop a subject in Year 12, I thought I might just take the easier subject and focus my...
topic^, specifically with maths and English, from what I've heard, science subjects don't really require any tutoring, you can just look ahead in the textbook. With Maths however, apparently the 3U course covers a lot, and so some tutoring would help reinforce all concepts. And I just never...
Just wondering, since I think I'd better complete some old Circle Geo HW before returning my YR10 textbook to the school, but I really can't be bothered unless there's gonna be more down the line. So, is there much CG in senior maths? Will I be refreshed on the proofs if there is any CG?
Work experience for me was at Macquarie Uni in the Psychology Dept.
It boiled down to attending lectures (which the Work Experience supervisor didn't keep a tight watch, over so quite many lectures were missed), and occasionally a staffer giving a tour.
Sigh, I wanted to go to Kinokuniya, but...
So, my IST teacher (if you could call her a teacher) has been banging on about this edassist program and her daughter supposedly achieving really high marks for her HSC, and that the people who write the HSC test teach for this program. Has anyone been to any of their programs? How was it?
At my school, we require teachers permission to take "hard" subjects like physics, chemistry, and subject extensions. Am I to believe that these subjects will have a larger workload compared to other subjects? How are students taking most of these subjects coping?
If I were to end up with English Adv., Maths ext. 2, IPT and SDD, will IPT and SDD bring me down? will the others balance it out or anything like that?
Well that couldn't be too difficult, I just want an easier yr 11.
I gave myself a harder yr 10 by having commerce as an elective and another "textbook" based subject as an elective really just piles on the pressure.
As we all know, the minimum unit requirement in Yr 12 is lower than that in Yr 11. However, if one does happen to drop subjects, does the dropped subject have any bearing on UAI (or ATAR now?) or anything? Would it be possible to say, pick a bludgier subject for Yr 11 and drop that later and not...
Re: Stay at local, partially selective school or apply for better fully selective sch
I wouldn't be able to go to either of those schools, they are much too far. I'm gonna have to catch multiple buses/trains, and it will probably take over an hour to get to/back from school.
Re: Stay at local, partially selective school or apply for better fully selective sch
I'd estimate that:
RSC - 15min
Normo - 20min
City school (SB/NSB) - 30min (to get to appropriate train station) + ? min (not sure if I'll have to walk from the station, or if the school provides buses from...
I go to Ryde Secondary College at the moment and live around the area (West Ryde). Is it worth the extra time spend traveling to a school located in the city? Or should I just stay where I am? Are there any alternative schools (I know Normo would just add an extra 5mins to my travel time but is...
I'd have to agree that the manga didn't translate too well in some scenes (for example, the chip eating trick, we've got dramatic music, dramatic monologue, chip salt sparkling in the room...)
