    Y11 accelerating 3u Maths - haven't got a HSC pin!?

Don't worry I'm in the same position, except I accelerate at Ancient History. We are supposed to get them this year, that way we are registered to sit for the HSC exam for the particular subject/s. However, my class of 20-25 still haven't received the HSC pins, and we're not too worried. My...

    Prelim half-yearlies?

Mine are in Week 6. However not all subjects have half yealies, some have assignments instead. -_-

    citation problems

Yes, you can go via properties and that will tell you when the page was created and last modified, plus other information. However it doesn't tell you the author of the webpage.

    spartan vivavoce

Here's just some notes from my book about the roles of the kings and the government, sorry its a bit late. And I apologize if the notes don't suffice, as I have just started Sparta this term. Good luck on your viva voce - I already did mine, wasn't that difficult - but I suppose it varies from...

    Study Notes: Keeping or Trash?

Same here, but I actually doubt that they would actually use them, and that's if they decide to even study a little bit for their school exams or the school certificate.

    Computer Skills SC

I thought it was an easy / fair exam. There were some tricky questions, like the ones about spreadsheets and the formulae, I had to pretty much make an educated guess on, but overall it was pretty easy. Everyone should do fine, not an extremely hard exam. It was funny, I was the first group...

    Special Provisions

I had to read for a year 10 student last year in the english exam, gosh I hated that (having to read all the text, like multiple times). No one I know this year, had a writer or a reader. I don't even think anyone got extra time. All I know is that some people got to sit their exams in the...

Overall, was the School Certificate what you expected?

I didn't realise this either, shows how much I pay attention to what the questions are worth. The school certificate, was average. Overall easy exams, with a few tricky questions in each. I can't comment on the history / geography paper, as I didn't sit the exam this year, but what I've heard...

When do we get our results back? (FOR SC)

Yeah pretty much you'll get your results whenever your graduation is. My school's graduation is on the 11th of December.

Forgot to put my student number on my english paper =(- what should i do?

Ours checked the english papers during the break, because they said at the beginning of science that they were happy that no one got their centre number or student number incorrect! They will check, and you'll end probably end up being the only person who forgot to put your student number at...

    Was your studying pointless?

I didn't study, but I'll probably end up regretting that. I only studied for science, during the break between english and science, nothing like last minute cramming. However the bits I did study did deem to be extremely helpful in the exam, thank god I studied the theory of evolution and...

How many people got their numbers taken down today??

No one at my school got their number recorded as far as I know, however I was only with 30 people in my grade, the other 200 was in the hall. The people I was with, are the higher calibre students, and most wouldn't risk being an idiot in an exam. Our examiners were nice, and we even remembered...

    Highlight-age

Yeah same, I didn't think it was necessary, however I did underline some key concepts of some questions, as some were lengthy and I needed to break them up a bit, to be able to fully understand them. . .

    General Thoughts: English–literacy

I thought it was a great exam. The extended response questions, were the same text types in our trial, so the year 10 at my school, had speech writing and narrative writing lectures from our english teachers. A few tricky multiple choice, short answers did seem to become a bit repeptitive after...

    Do you lose marks if...

This is very true. The board of studies advise you not to write excessive amounts of information after you have completed the space provided. However, you are allowed to write after the lines, just don't over do it!

    Do you lose marks if...

Ahhh, I wish you the world of good luck. I remember sitting for the history / geography school certificate last year (I was so nervous). But this year I'm not as stressed. Hope you achieve your desired marks!
