    Help! Integration Question

@tonyharrison - no worries :) @scumm - You should be able to do it for any area between 2 curves, because the bits that would cancel when using one curve, uncancel again, if that makes any sense. Think of it this way, if it was the area between (sinx + 10) and (rt3 cosx + 10), it's obviously...

    Help! Integration Question

    You don't need to change anything with it. You might be cancelling out because of the signs. integrate (sinx - rt3 cosx) between 4pi/3 and pi/3 = [-cosx - rtsinx] = -[cosx + rtsinx] = -(cos(4p/3) + rt3 sin (4p/3) - cos(p/3) - rt3 sin(p/3) = -(-0.5 -1.5 - 0.5 - 1.5) = 4units^2

    Help! Integration Question

You can just do it normally and it will work. Try it as just the integral of sinx - the intragral of cosx between their points of intersection and you'll get the result. If you want to be safe, you could add a constant to both of them so you're working with sinx + 10 and cosx + 10 or...

    The EE2 Stereotype

I'm doing 4u eng and 3u maths, although now since 4u is finished its technically just 3-3. My maths teacher wanted me to do 4u maths but I'm like nooooooo. My verdict: it's doable but extension maths takes up so much time over everything else for 1 unit -_-

    Swearing in short story

If you're adamant about not swearing, you could use "Stuff it" which still sounds better than screw it IMO (I dunno, screw it for me sounds like something a year 7 kid would say). I'd still go with the original, uncensored version, despite the people's warnings. Sort of off topic: For a...

Does Your Eng Ext 2 Major Work, Have To Be Related To Literature?

Don't get too bogged down in trying to link your work to english coursework. A short story can be pretty much about anything, and luckily the year 12 topic "belonging" and the year 11 topic "change" is pretty much every story. I can't really comment on the essay option though, but I suspect...

    Swearing in short story

Without knowing your character, "Fuck it" is much more realistic than "Screw it" or "Curse it" both of which sound like you're self-censoring yourself. I only swear if it works in the context, not for effect or anything but for realistic dialogue. For me "Curse it" is something they would say...

Last Line of your Major Work?

I've been stuck wondering whether I should use "and then I died." or "and then I woke up." Highly original, both show that passion and flair needed for the 4U course. Ideally, I'm looking for a 50.
