yeah it has aye. time's going so fast. my exams start on the 15th nov and finish on the 20th. yours? i just started studying today lol. so got any plans after exams finish?(lol i posted this on my own page i thought it was gonna post on yours).
hey sorry i haven't logged in here since couple of months. i was going through my bookmarks trying to make the list shorter and this came up and i went to check my profile and found your post. anyways, i'll just post here. so how have you been? how is uni and life going?
Just do whatever degree you want. Heck, I'm studying accounting right now and am going to apply for postgrad med, unless I decide to go overseas next year and study it. I'm studying accounting because there is no guarantee in gaining entry into med and those research jobs on offer for med/adv...
I have never chucked an 'all' nighter. lol the highest I got up to was 4am. I did it because I either had a test or an assignment due the next (or same) day and it was still unfinished. What kept me up was Mother. Just a side qs here: for the people who chuck all nighters before an exam, what do...
It would be better going UWS and saving half a year. Plus the tuition fee at MQ is much, much higher. Why limit yourself to just the two as well? There is UTS, UNSW and USYD to ponder as well. You can transfer there from any institution as long as your gpa is min. credit ave.
Well looks like you've found your reason for not going out. Too much bos.
Oh yeah and shadowdude I want to hear your story about this girl you like. lol why would she post up her address?
Ah well I'm sure you did fine. So I was wondering if you could give me any sort of advice as to whether I should try for med here, or go overseas? I do, however, have the flexiility and money to study interstate or somewhere else. There is no certainty here though as I'm studying accounting now...
Are you absolutely sure though? I read this article on smh: http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/hospitals-pay-6000-for-kiwi-weekend-warriors-20110326-1cbdn.html
I have no idea why they would restrict overseas docs if they are hiring locums with that sum of money. I'm interested in this because I have the...
I've heard about that. Someone mentioned to me a few days ago about something called "intern tsunami." Guess Australia's reliance on overseas docs is rapidly abating then?
How come you didn't try for med at undergrad level? How was your gamsat btw? Also I think the OP is not interested in money. Because I want to do med really badly as well but obviously it's virtually impossible to get in, so I chose to study accounting. Accountants, if you complete your CA as...
You also have the option of combining it with a B of Education (secondary) and you can be a high school teacher and start your own tutoring business and make shit loads because you won't have to pay tax on it.
Mate, it's not that simple. The gpa and gamsat are simply a cut-off. If you get lower than the required score then you don't even get a chance at an interview. If you get higher, or much higher, I doubt they would consider you more because it depends more on the interview, a lot more. I mean...
Just skimmed through the thread. Can't remember who but someone noted how little Australia is doing in terms of foreign aid to the Japs, compared with the Chinese, etc. We are going through our own problems as well, which has resulted in a flood levy being introduced to cater for it and give...
