I'm currently doing an Environmental Science degree which just isn't doing it for me anymore, so I am going to transfer to a Geology degree when I get the chance. So I have some questions.
1. Are there uni's that have a lot more field work than others? Or is it a very theory based degree...
My first lecture was awesome, straight into it.
The unit outline was provided, but I noticed some people brought the lecture notes. I am going to bring them in the future so I don't have to stress too much about missing anything.
Can someone please point me in the direction of info about selecting subjects at Maq? I am interested in enrolling in B.Science (Geology) next year, and I don't understand the whole credit points thing, or what subjects I have to do for this major. The website was kinda vague.
Thanks!
I am actually buying, so I was looking to have fellow students live with me because I don't know anyone in Newie at all, so I guess anywhere students want to live is good.
I would have liked to live on campus, but I hear my chances are not so good as it's very competitive.
I had a read through the "What you hate about UNSW" thread and it was a bit of a turn off.
Plus I heard the Earth Science dept is pretty awesome at UNCLE.
I decided to choose Newcastle uni over UNSW, so I guess I will be moving to Newie soon! I don't know the area at all, so I was wondering if some of you locals might be able to recommend a few suburbs that I should look at? Doesn't have to be insanely close to the uni, as long as it doesn't...
If you're in Sydney I would recommend just doing the STAT test.
If you're not fussed about the uni you want to go to, you could easily get into ACU or UNCLE or something low on the ranks for a B.Ed.
But if you want to go to a more "prestigious" uni I would suggest contacting the uni you're...
Yeah but it's highly unlikely. They do a small test and an "interview" which was basically just to make sure you can read and understand English (ie. form a sentence) and the interview was just selecting subjects.
As long as you don't say "I am doing this because Centrelink asked me to" then...
You get your entry score generated by your LALS B mark and your 2 best other B module scores.
So really you only have to do 3 A modules and 3 B Modules.
I am doing the TPC at Ultimo and this is the drill:
Classes are in 2hr blocks.
Physics, Chemistry & Biology are 6 hrs a week
LALS is 4...
I think you need to do Stats A before doing the B module.
I am doing Foundation maths and we are covering pretty much everything in the 2U Maths HSC textbook I bought.
Or so my teacher says :)
Pretty sure he also said you have to do Foundation Maths before you can do any other maths (except...
