    Stress overload...

HELLO, a question for my brother who just finished HSC, has anyone successfully been eligible under the Broadway Scheme of Sydney Uni through eas regarding youth allowance, and also what is the likelihood that my eas will be accepted if my parents separated at start of yr 11 but haven't...

    RE: Chemistry option: Industrial Chem

I wouldn't say it's useless stuff but if you can remember some of those names it would work to your benefit in that it would just enhance your answer in the HSC and set you apart from the rest. But the core component is you know how these sulfactants work and the difference between anionic and...

    Ok quick questions

you're welcome :) you'll usually see it written as w.r.t in trial solutions because they try to save time by writing solutions in short hand

    Ok quick questions

In an exam situation i'd be more inclined to write 'with respect to x' rather than w.r.t. I know it's tedious to fully write it out but if you think back to curve sketching using calculus we can't abbreviate points of inflexion to P.O.I. Basically just write it out... it will only take 3 seconds...

    Ok quick questions

State: as in write 'integrating both sides'. Although it may be obvious to the marker i would still be on the safe side and write it unless you are really short of time

    Who's ready for General?

I know it sounds cliche but don't stress too much as you will start to have second thoughts, then get nervous and then forget what you have learnt. The best advice would be to think about things really logically. I'm sure you'll do great!

a quick overview of annuities: whenever you see work out interest you use I=PRT. If you see compound interest use: A=P(1+r)^n. Also be careful with compound interest and note whether its compounded annually, 6 monthly (half yearly) quarterly etc. with these you have to make your adjustments to...

    Ok quick questions

imo no need for times both sides by "q" and divide everything by "b"

    Ok quick questions

i would probably state squaring both sides just to be safe but saying integrating both sides is essential

i got a mean of 54 as well. The way i did it was: you know that 5 scores = 62. say the first score is x then the second is x+1, the third x+2 etc. therefore you get this equation: x+(x+1)+(x+2)+(x+3)+(x+4)/5 = 62 i.e. i just added up all the scores and divided by 5. this simplifies to 5x+10/5 =...

    Is UWS good for Economics/Law?

I'm at macquarie uni and actually it's surprisingly very good. Business school as mentioned is up there. However, it is known for setting hard finals mainly 60% final exams and a lot of the times need to be passed to pass the unit irrespective of how you went throughout the semester. The law...
