Hey guys, need some help!
Applied for a bit under 3 months leave for exams + full time internship, got approved. Decided I want to travel straight after internship for a few weeks and wanted to put in a leave form effectively extending my leave an extra month (4 months total). Department...
New deli shirts finally arrived today. Turns out that wearing a small in the old uniform for years and just choosing to purchase a small again wasn't the brighest idea - shirts tight as can be :mad2: Return form mentions 4-6 weeks for exchange, wonder if given it's just a white shirt with the...
Quick silly question, how many breaks does one get on a 6 hour shift (11am-5pm)? Manager said one 30min unpaid, duty manager said 30min unpaid and 15 min tea break, and the guys at cash office weren't around.
Took two weeks off to cram for exams, selected 'study leave' on the form, approved - just looked at my bank account after exams and noticed I was paid my contract hours (10 hours per week) worth for both those weeks - is study leave paid leave? Or was I wrongly paid? Payslip shows annual leave...
Quick question once again haha; I'm hoping to take 2 weeks off for my uni exams come November (assuming they span over a 2 week period), and I'll need a week off after that due to dental surgery. Anyways, point being, if I apply for unpaid leave (I have a total of 5 hours of annul leave...) of 3...
Thanks for the help:)
As for my department manager, they put everyone (Deli) on full-time/part time; we have no casuals now. A few of the part-time staff, including myself, work extra shifts over their contract hours every week though.
Turrned 19 a bit over a week ago, payslip shows I got payed at my 18 y/o part-time base rate of 13.71 today. Would have thought it would be an automatic pay rise upon turning 19, guessing I have to speak to my frustrating pay clerk? Hope she backpays this week's 18/19 rate difference :(

Hey guys, just a quick question;
Recently moved from casual to part time; my hours are 5 hours on Saturday and 5 hours Sunday. I was reading the Woolworths Award to see if theres anything I need to know and came across section 4.6.2.5:
'...(part time) employee who works ordinary hours on a...
I am casual yes - not paying tax currently (to my understanding that's because I've earned less then $6000).
Was it public holiday rates though last Saturday? Anyone else get payed PH rates?
What you said about 2.7*part time would have me at 108, which is close enough. Never knew that's how it...
Hey guys was wondering if you could help me out.
Last Saturday (and the whole week) I worked five hours at a rate of $10.7 (Im 15) so I should have been payed around the $53 mark - but today I looked into my bank account and there's a Woolworths credit of $111.67.
If it was public holiday...
Hey guys,
I'm going to the hour session about the agreement and whatnot and it starts at 3-4 and my shift is from 4-9. This is a long shot but I thought I may as well ask, but does that count as a 6 hour shift? I figured since I was getting payed to go then maybe..
Sorry if it's a stupid question.
Hey guys,
My last shift was last Sunday and I saw all those yellow notices stuck everywhere about the sessionsa and how all employees ahve to go. It also said something on the lines of your manager will contact you for times or whatever.
Anyway it's now Thursday night and my manager hasn't...
Since I started work 5 months ago, I've gotten a 15 minute break for 4 hour shifts and 5 hour shifts, and it goes on from there. Is something going to change? Victoria here.
Also, what is this new EBA? Can I find it online? Anything change that's worth knowing (for casulsat least)? Thanks for...
Hey guys,
I heard something about its illegal to work two shifts less then twleve hours apart, is this true, and does it apply to casuals? I'm in Victoria, and any help is always appreciated :)
Hey guys,
Rather then blabbering on I thought I'd just ask straight up;
Are under 16s allowed to slice in the Deli department? I'm fifteen and have been told by various fellow employees I can't as it's against the law, while a few others say I can. Slicing isn't hard work or anything, but I...
