BSc or medical science

You can transfer from any course provided you have good enough uni marks, school marks, UMAT and interview. Many people who miss out on getting into Medicine first time around will do a similar course, such as a Bachelor of Medical Science.

From the UNSW website: It is anticipated that at least 500 applicants will be interviewed, with about 100 of these in January 2010. There are 156 standard (non-rural) places.

Of course you can say you want to help people - that should absolutely be your motivation for wanting to study medicine. However, there are ways to say it that make you sound like you mean it, and ways that make you sound like you're full of it.
