^ Agreed. But, only if you're absolutely sure you're not taking an Accounting major, take ACCG106.
ACCG106 was mostly theory and I haven't heard a lot of complaining about the subject.
ACCG100 is more the practical questions of account. A fair amount of people in my class found it frustrating...
^ I agree with AsyLum's comment with lectures "typically covering an entire semester or term of content in high school in about a lecture at uni". This was especially true with both ECON110 and ECON111.
I heard STAT171 was really really REALLY hard from my actuarial studies friend (but she...
Hey there~
I've done ISYS100, and I would recommend it. The lecturer has a good sense of humor and captures your attention pretty well. The lecture contents were also pretty basic in terms of computing and most of the this you learn are social issues such as online gambling, hacking etc.
The...
I managed STAT170 without a textbook. The questions are pretty repetitive and straightforward. Enough practice will get you a HD and D without textbooks ;)
^ The subjects that you have to do in your degree don't count towards your planet and people units.
So say like me:
I'm doing Applied Finance/Com-Prof. Accounting, that means as part of my degree I have to do STAT170.
STAT170 is a planet unit. But it doesn't count as my planet unit...
Hey~ Congrats for getting into applied finance/com-prof accounting :)
For both semesters I attended 3 days each. Truthfully though, I could have attended only 2days of those 3, since on one of those days it was only lectures, and the topics themselves were those where you can study yourself.
A planet unit doesn't replace any units. It's an extra subject you have to pick up before at anytime before your graduation.
This also applies with the people unit.
Woot! Just finished Summer Course *celebrates*
Anyway, I been looking a bit more into my units for next semester and i have to choose between ECON203 and ECON204, Micro and Macroeconomic Analysis respectively.
I was wondering which one was easier, or which one you guys would recommend...
From my experience, I think those who did anything below 'Maths 3U' found 'ACST101' challenging, so I would personally recommend you to do MATH123.
That being said, doing 4 standard units a semester is pretty time requiring if you want to do really well in the subjects. I have seen some people...
If online materials = Lecture notes found on iLearn, yea, I think its better to print them out :P
In the end I bought my books new. >__> So expensive....
I think some people just print out the lecture notes and write on them. Lol. I'm definitely one of those who has to write textbook notes each week though haha
I went to the ECON110 Lecture yesterday, apparently (according to the lecturer), you have to be rreeeaalllyyy desperate to FAIL the course LOL.
If you look/download Lecture_1 on iLearn, it says that last year in semester 1, 88% students passed, and that most who failed did not complete either...
If you're talking about iLearn, then it's this website: https://ilearn.mq.edu.au/login/MQ/
But you have to go through this first before you log-on: https://mypassword.mq.edu.au/index.php?screen=MQInitPW
OTL
Forgot about that option =x=''
But if I order it now...will it deliver in time?
Ah well, I'll keep that in mind for next semester ^^
I couldn't hear most of what my library tour guide said. I thought that the downstairs study area was quiet interesting though.
I kinda....accidentally lost my group at lunch time and just sat with my friends from that attended the other departments. I made more friends at lunch time by talking with people next to me compared to my group :\
