Thanks for the replies but I must have worded the question wrong. The anchor point of the leash is non moving, it must stay still. The goat however can move on the circumference of the invading circle as illustrated in my attachment.

I have a circular paddock with AREA: 1 unit^2. If I have a goat with a leash tied to the outer fence (circumference of paddock), how long must the leash, L, be to only allow the goat to eat half the grass in the paddock? -sorry if my wording confuses anyone (im a left brainer)

Yeah that's how it works. If physics was your lowest mark but you were doing only 11 units, they would count the top 10 (i.e. incl. Ext 1 and half of your physics result.

For your ATAR, 4U would be awesome to get 70 in, cause its weighting would push it up heaps far

I agree, i reckon Terry Lee is confusing and jumps straight in the deep end for the questions. We're using the Patel book from like the '80s and its so hard to follow.

I agree, if 4U is really interesting you and you're seeking a mathematical based career, it would do you good. However, if you're not willing to spend the gratuitous amounts of time required then maybe you're better off just concentrating on 2U and 3U.

I reckon if you're doing awesome at 2U and 3U you should just stick to them and ace them rather than failing 4U. Haha its ironic that youre doing all the same subjects as me for the HSC
