I put in an order on the 19th December and still haven't got mine. They have the order, because they tried calling me and telling me my store didn't exist... Then they told me they'd send it out urgently (I'm working 60ish hours a week at the moment, with only one shirt...) and that it wouldn't...

Eh, I don't mind it that much. The last two weeks have been a bit crazy though. It'll be nice when we can put the new roster in. Pretty much 9:30 - 18:30 daily, except for one open and one close, either side of my four days off. It means 10 days straight, but that's okay, coz I have all...

Same. These mornings are killing me. Starting at 5:30 for 10-14ish hours. :( I'm hoping we get the newbies trained soon!

Yes, I'm salaried. I work in petrol as assistant manager, and possibly manager as of tomorrow... Been there for 7 weeks so far, and a checkout chick for 5 weeks before that, and no job ever before that, so I'm still considering whether I think I'm even up to doing to job... But I...

I've had a 7 day, 55 hour week this week. :( And still only get paid 40 hours/no penalty rates/no overtime. Now THAT sucks. :P But I get my next day off on Friday, so I guess I'm halfway through...

who is buying their 1st home soon

... Uhh, houses are a hell of a lot cheaper OUT of the city, actually. So it does make quite a difference.

The one I used to work at wasn't too bad... 12 large lanes (I think 3 of these were broken in some way or another...) 3 express 1 smokeshop

It once took me 4.5 hours to get my change. I had $50s and 5c, and nothing in between. Was an interesting day.

who is buying their 1st home soon

I'm looking at buying a house, having a talk to the banks about a loan on Friday. But I'm not buying in the city so I *might* have things a little easier... I'm doing a full time uni load, with full time work making $790/week before tax... So it's not impossible! :P

I know with Petrol in AU we have Office for cash office related, operator, sales and security reports, daily balancing, etc... ISIS for all stock-related things, ticketing, etc... and we have HOST AND Citrix for some reason. I've only ever used host because I don't know what citrix is for...

I might be wrong, but I think it's only if it's part of your duties to perform first aid when necessary anywhere in store... EG: If someone was injured in deli and you were working on checkouts, you'd go to deli... I'm probably wrong though.

Hmmm. Weird... Don't really have to worry about it now I'm salaried... But was curious as to why it was there. Was probably a stuff up...

Why would I have a CU OTH N/P when I worked all my rostered hours and then some?

It was actually my manager... I was like "If it's not supposed to be used on smokes wouldn't it just exclude them like it does with the fuel offers?"

    The Woolworths Thread

Just a question with the staff discount cards... Can they be used to buy smokes in QLD? I read through the policy and couldn't find anything about it, and it goes through when I scan it, but I was told this morning that it's not allowed...

Have been lurking for a bit and thought I'd post... Last shift at the supermarket tomorrow... Got my 6-week evaluation today with the comment "I don't know why I bothered when you're leaving already, but thought I'd better do it properly..." Stocktake on Friday at the servo, and starting on...
