Re: Semester 2 USYD Chatter Thread
Best part about doing two units is I only have one exam, because the other unit has an exam in class in the final week.
Also, who is the BoSer that just found my Union campaign page, because the notifications are annoying as fuck mate.
Yeah, AA is shit. All it's really done is pushed the established political factions to run women because it's strategically sensible, I was one of the only candidates to say I opposed it in my interviews, but you've got to play the game and to change it, you have to get in.
My campaign was...
Mike was the one that I expected to do well. I'm disappointed in Georg not getting up because he cared more than any of us. But he lost out to AA, so this is only the third time it's come into play.
And Grassroots just used Lamisse as a feeder to Marco.
But I'm just glad this is all over.
It's probably why they were so threatened by Swag. I really wish that ticket hadn't fallen apart.(And had we gotten elected I wouldn't be a candidate for this and would be a lot less stressed right now :P)
It took them a week and a half to put these up which is kind of disappointing, especially since they put it up 2 days before polls closed it sort of shows how much disdain this Honi team has for stupol.
I said it'd be bias. And to be honest, I actually still haven't worked out Tiff's cornerstone policies. I'm sort of going off what I've heard them lecture bash and soapbox. And to be honest, NLS, and SLS need to learn to target their audience properly, going into engineering or business and...
So here is a super condensed version of the candidates.
Tiff:
Go to student body about everything
Marco:
Left wing environmentalism
Eden:
Free expensive shit
Jermaine:
No fucking idea what he is actually doing tbh
Kerrod:
Business focused, long term sustainability as a business
Lamisse:
Muslim...
Amelops, apparently my campaign manager got no one out on Monday and Friday when I was at work. They're out today though. Come grab a shirt off me if you want :)
"Hey, have you heard about the union board elections coming up? I'm campaigning for x, they're a close friend and I believe they'd do a great job for the union. They're not the stereotypical student hack, and they have some great policy ideas that totally haven't been promised in every other year."
That's the thing, a lot of them do run on infeasible things, just because of the sheer cost of them to implement isn't really possible(I did some conservative estimates on the "Free breakfast" things last year and they were just impossible to say that it was possible to do.)
Exactly why I'm...
Haha, that's okay. I was mainly just asking for your lectures rather than any other ones.
And hang on, did I talk to you during O Week then if you know me as the now past president of the libertarian society?
