can anyone answer my question? :(

    Parametrics Q

ok, well my first thoughts were: find the eqn of normal, solve this simultaneously with parabola, to find q. then use gradient formula with S( 0,1 ) ... however the algebra in that is wayyyy messy... so im not quite sure..lol.. and funny thing is, were both 4 unit students and we cant do 3u...

    differentiating ln.

    I'm sorry.

    differentiating ln.

awww, it does work... turns out the solution was wrong... Oh well, i guess i should of picked that up myself.. thanks anyway!

    differentiating ln.

    diff: ln [ ( 3x^2 + 1 ) ( 2x + 5) ] why cant i use the product rule, and then have f'(x) / f(x)? i get a different answer to when i split it up into sum of 2 logs.

    Locus halp!

is the answer x = 6 - y? lol i dont wanna post up what i did, if i got it wrong.. haha.

    back emf.

Ahhh that makes sense, however when u say no back emf is in generators..is that only in d.c?? Or does that apply to a.c as well cause i am sure my teacher said negative for a.c generators was back emf, so is she teaching it very wrong...

    back emf.

would you mind explaining to me if there is back emf in DC motors and generators? because i got those notes from my teacher.. so either im interpreting it wrong..or...

    back emf.

Ok, a little confused cause i have contradicting notes? :S One of my advantages for DC generators is : • No back emf once current is flowing. but, when i was doing this question, " a back emf is: " A. found in AC motors only. B. found in DC motors only C. adds to supply voltage D...

    Summaries for phys and chem.

mmmm 20 pages each topic lol. Gosh, think i've finished all of chem by myself already? :P Yeah, i have like some paragraphs / dots under each syllabus point. But i want to condense but dunno how! hmph.

    Summaries for phys and chem.

How many pages should they be, mine are approx 20 pages typed. And im wondering how many pages i should cut it down to? also whats the most effective way to condense the info, i have alot of sentences but everytime i try to condense i just end up reading over it lol.

Romulus my father quote need help finding.

hey guys, im looking for a quote i remember in romulus my father and it was along the lines of, how raimond is talkign about his father and his straightforwardness, where romulus would tell you to your face that he wasnt fond of your actions but would be willing to forgive you and invite you...

    volume about the y axis.

Ok, so area bounded by curves y = x^2 and y = x +2 is rotated about the x-axis. I have tried it so many time and i cant do it lol, so frustrating can anyone help? but is the general approach for this find the volume of one of the parts and then subtract another part?

    orbital velocity confusion.

    isnt orbital velocity 2.pi.r / t?
  17. A

    orbital velocity confusion.

Is it not true that as radius increases, orbital velocity decreases? and to find orbital velocity it is = length of orbit (2.pi.r) / period. Because for some reason my results happen in the opposite way, as my radius increases, my orbital velocity also increases...? so i gathered my...

    Clarification on simultaneous equations.

    ok so the 4 equations are: 3a+4b+ 4c=0 (1) 27a+12b + 4c = 0 (2) a+2b+4c+ 8d = 8 (3) 27a + 18b + 12c + 8d = -8 (4) Then i went (2) - (1) and got b= -3a (5) Then (5) into (1) 9a/ 4...

    Clarification on simultaneous equations.

Ok so i have 4 equations, with 4 variables, if i got all the terms down to say for example... A= xB A= xC A= xD where x is any random number, for some reason when i sub them back into one of the equations i get the wrong answer, but if i sub it into the only equation i havent used it...
