Exactly. It's funny how all the people criticising me are more than likely doing useless arts degrees. I guess they'll be stuck in the cycle of making unjust criticisms about subjects they don't understand for the rest of their lives, so we may as well let it slide.

I just refuse to listen to him out of principle. All of his songs have cheesy lyrics and are generally terribly structured. He even uses the exact same chord progression on 2 of the songs on Ocean Eyes. The 'sound' you like is probably more of a trait of the synthpop genre than Owl City himself...
Indeed. However those are actually "indie kids" not real indie kids. i.e. the ones that listen to bands that are promoted as "indie" but actually aren't (All American Rejects, Kings of Leon and Owl City). Basically the people that seem to obsessively listen to bands with names and song titles...
What are these sort of places like for checking ID? I don't turn 18 until May (one disadvantage of coming from QLD) but I don't want to miss out on:
a) Toga
b) Live bands
Lol I ended up couriering most of my stuff down as my dad has a business account with Toll Ipec so it didn't cost TOO much. There's really no other way to get a desktop computer and a stereo down there.
