    Homosexuality in Australia

Equality between heterosexuals and homosexuals, theists and atheists, and immigrants and 'true Americans.' Never minding the residual racism between whites and blacks, although that's pretty minor.

Muslim leader wants elements of sharia in Australia - SMH 08MARCH2010

Being beaten into 'happiness' isn't real happiness. Although Allah told you it was, so you're going to have a hard time accepting that.

Muslim leader wants elements of sharia in Australia - SMH 08MARCH2010

Ask yourself how many oppressive ignorant chauvinistic sexist sadists you see in a Muslim country in relation to a Western society. While your engaged in your self evaluation, ask yourself how many women in Muslim countries you see that are generally happy (i.e. not happy because a man has come...

    Homosexuality in Australia

But his job is to also educate the people, and frankly the way that country has been indoctrinated defies the definition of education. So maybe in a few years, or most possibly decades, the majority of America will at least recognise equality.

For those who believe that homosexuality is genetic

I could argue that typing on a computer is an unnatural act, and therefore a genetic disorder. Considering you think harmless genetic orders are so bad, how do you think we evolved to our current state?

    Does God exist?

+1. He was way too polite with Stephen Fielding. If Hitchens were there, he would have definitely made him cry. :hammer:

Muslim leader wants elements of sharia in Australia - SMH 08MARCH2010

Did not hear Dr Matthews propose that. Regardless, it still breaks the value of equality. Why should a women be heard over a man in some cases, and a man heard over a women in others. It should be a mutual agreement both ways.

    Why are Christians drunken fools?

There is no predisposition that they are smarter. As a culture, because they generally come from a poorer background, they feel and are driven harder to achieve. Many Australians live a relatively good life, and therefore are not used to working as hard. This is on the general. There are and...

Muslim leader wants elements of sharia in Australia - SMH 08MARCH2010

Equality of women. Why should the man get to decide over the women?

Philosophy of Religion: Revisiting the Euthyphro Dilemma

Yes, but unfortunately it's also the supreme word of God's worst enemy.

Philosophy of Religion: Revisiting the Euthyphro Dilemma

Yes, just as the stoning of various of types of unjustly labelled 'criminals' are perfectly morally acceptable. The reason the don't take place in Western culture? The proof of a changing moral zeitgeist!

Muslim leader wants elements of sharia in Australia - SMH 08MARCH2010

The other responders are quite right in saying that if he doesn't like our laws, he can get out. When an Australian travels to Saudi Arabia, or any country with Sharia Law, our women are not treated with our moral values, they are treated with theirs - effectively stripped of their liberty and...

For those who believe that homosexuality is genetic

Ahh, but it does matter, because scripture explicitly claims to be a source of a morals. The Theory of Evolution does not. While yes, if you read the Bible or any other like it, at face value you would be confused, but only if you held each line to be 'equal' in a sense. It is nearly impossible...

Philosophy of Religion: Revisiting the Euthyphro Dilemma

I'm an atheist, but I would imagine a theist saying something along the lines of "but if it's not commanded by God, what makes it morally good?"

For those who believe that homosexuality is genetic

The relevancy is central to the argument! Otherwise it's just a case of quote mining whatever you want so that you can justify whatever you want, in the name of whatever you want. Their may be counter orders, but you have missed my point. The Theory of Evolution is not a doctrine in the sense...

    Does God exist?

Great argument right there mate! I'm sure I'll be scared to shit when Judgement Day comes, but I'll take my chances (and trust me, they're good) until then.

For those who believe that homosexuality is genetic

The parallels between the crimes of Hitler and those listed are undeniable. When I first saw your post Hitler came to my mind, but if you really feel like it, replace the name with Stalin, and vegetarian with Russian. That phrase from Karl Marx is taken grotesquely out of context. Marx goes...

For those who believe that homosexuality is genetic

You may not have mentioned Hitler specifically, but hints at Hitler quite obviously, no? If you disagree, I suppose Stalin would be another figure that it is descriptive of. Once again, I repeat that science is morally neutral, and should not be blamed for its misapplications, rather the...

LOL! I think just flat out ignoring this guy is the way to go, considering he seems to be ignoring pages and pages of our arguments against his position.
