Well if you want to boost your GPA, pick one of those basic/introduction units (e.g intro to IT,basic maths etc) if you want something interesting, try a first level language unit. (chinese101,russian101 etc)

yes you can as long as there are spaces available. if it says full, contact your unit coordinator, some space becomes available as some students drop the unit or change courses (in the first 2 weeks) also sometimes the tutor controls the size of the class i.e there may be seats available but...

Ditto. I wanted to take PT and Operating systems programming together but coordinator wouldnt allow it. now i have to wait till next year to do os programming, spending additional 6 months at uni. It is a hassle that the units are offered once a year. @Nue1 Get hold of the PF text book...

If the ISBN is different, it could be a different edition of the same book. (older or sometimes new) You may have trouble following your tutor as the page numbers will most likely be different. (although you could always refer to your class mates book if needed) Talk to your unit coordinator...
