From experience, how do you get to UNSW and what tickets do you buy?
For me, my route is Holsworthy->Central ($5.00 for return). Bus->UNSW ($3.60).
That means I will be spending $8.60 for 1 daily trip and I go 5 days a week.
Should I buy separate tickets + Bus 10 or myMulti (weekly...
re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive
Hmm that question was actually an MCQ but X:Y 4:1 wasn't one of the options.
They were:
A) 1:1
B) 1: sqrt(2)
C) sqrt(2):1
D) 2:1
Is the question photons per second?
In that case, I got B
Energy of 1 photon:
E = hf
E = hc/λ
= 3.313x10^-19
1W is the energy consumption of 1J per second.
hence 2W = 2J/s
For number of photons transferred in 2J per second,
Number of emitted photons = 2/3.313x10^-19 = 6x10^18 photons

Applying v2 = u2 +2as for y component
u2 = 2(1.6)(20)
u = 8ms^-1
Q: Two satellites X and Y orbit the Earth. The mass of satellite X is twice that of satellite Y. The orbital radius of satellite Y is twice that of satellite X. What is the ratio of the orbital...
I used both Physics in focus and jacaranda.
I found that if you want an in depth knowledge about the subject, use Jacaranda (has really good information). If you want precise notes, good practice questions + solutions (if you have the CD) and pretty setting out, use Physics in focus.
re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive
1) It prevents loss of volatile reactants+products as the vapors can condense back into liquid form.
2) It's an open system - allows higher temps to be used safely without pressure build up.
Q: Identify two methods for determining the hardness of water...
Did your school not tell you to use pen for any exam since yr 7?
However, I think (hope) you will be fine as they can send the actual written response to markers. I'm sure the BOS won't penalise you for not being able to read the scanned work.
