The thing to remember about titration is that the amount of acid/base required is based purely on balancing equations. It has nothing to do with how strong or weak an acid is or the degree of ionization. (or as my teacher used to put it, it doesn't matter if they are strong or weak, the H+ are...

    Belonging - essay structure?

Although 50-50 is a good ideal, my teacher who was a HSC marker said that to err on the side of caution, she recommended that in some cases you should do 60-40. You should definitely try and avoid talking about your related more than your prescribed and sometimes it pays to have the perception...

    Can Students pick electives?

From personal experience (Chemistry), keep it in mind that your school may have specific assessment tasks based on their chosen elective or write their trial in such a way that doing an elective based purely on private study is impossible or simply not worth the effort. Personally, I don't think...

    Textbook under HSC standards?

Maths in Focus has its own positive points, but for MX1 I personally believe it's too easy. It's very good for learning the basics, but when it comes to harder questions (especially permutations/combinations/binomial probability and anything to do with probability), it really lets you down...
