If it's a prescribed text you DEFINITELY cannot use it as a related, the text you choose cannot be a prescribed for any of the modules of both Advanced and Standard English, so I'd check the prescribed text list which im pretty sure is on board of studies before choosing anything. I think it's...
Don't stress too much guys :) Just study hard this weekend so if you don't get accepted you still have a good chance with your HSC marks. :)
And prepare yourself for if you don't get in. They chose a horrible time to send out the letters, and the last thing anyone needs is a rejection letter...
I got a letter from them today saying I didn't get in.
Happy I got it this week and not next, but oh well, I still have the main rounds, just have to put more effort into my study now haha
Good luck guys!
Not yet! :(
I received another email from them saying good luck with the exams and stuff like that, similar to what other unis have been sending out. Don't know if they're saying 'goodluck' because they're gonna look at my final marks to make the decision through the normal application... I...
Maybe they're sending the email out as they send out the letter (be it a rejection or acceptance letter)? Like they send one batch of letters then the email to that person? So they don't send an email saying you'll know this week when they can't guarantee the letter's even gonna be sent by then...
I got an email today from them saying "The Admissions Office will be notifying all Early Offer Program applicants of the outcomes of their application this week"
It was a pretty broad email so I'm assuming you would've gotten it too? Anyways, hopefully that means we'll know by the end of the...
Nice! I would totally do accounting if I could handle maths, and maybe if my grade was offered economics. My sister's an accountant and loves it!
I applied for a B of Education Birth to Twelve years. :)
I just can't be motivated! Every morning I wake up thinking "I'll study hard today" and hour later the tv's on and the books are being ignored.
I know I'm not ready for HSC at all and my family take it to themselves to remind me every day. But that makes me less motivated "your sisters weren't...
Nope, still haven't.
I've come to the conclusion that I didn't get in for early offer. Except I find it kinda rude that they don't send you a letter to let you know you weren't accepted.
What did everyone apply for? Maybe one study area of Notre Dame are behind? If the Sports Journalism letters...
I've been waiting to hear from them as well.
Does anyone know if they send you a letter if you don't get in? Or do you just expect to have not been accepted if you don't get one?
I've been told its best to type... for some topics.
For example, for a history topic it's always good to write your notes in chronical order of year of events, this means you're continually adding information into different sections, you can't do that on paper without a whole lot of scribble...

Will be happy with anything over 90 for my ATAR! although I doubt that'll happen, I really need about 85, got to push myself hard!
Most schools would let you, the Board of Studies is ment to allow it for the first term or something. I know in my Advanced English class we had people join from standard and drop to standard throughout the first few weeks. Just go to your teachers on the first day and they'll talk to you about...
Depends on your school. It's a fairly big jump from year 10 to year 11, but the jump for year 11 to 12 is much bigger!
A lot of schools have now brought in teaching year 10 in a way that when they go to year 11 the jump isn't that big, so it depends how your school worked year 10.
Something big...
Read books! It's the best way, take notes of words you don't know and look them up in the dictionary then challenge yourself to use them - make a list of these new words and continually refer to them.
Another good thing to do, something my teachers have tried to force into us, is reading the...
