I got stuck in a question from the 2007 past Mathematics paper from the BOS.
(b)A pack of 52 cards consists of four suits with 13 cards in each suit.
(i) One card is drawn from the pack and kept on the table. A second card is drawn and placed beside it on the table. What is the probability...
Hello Bosers... My school is ranked 63rd currently.
The subjects I am doing for next year are:
Mathematics (HSC)
Maths Extension 1 (Going to 4 unit)
English Extension 1
Physics
Modern History
Engineering Studies
Studies of Religion I (HSC)
... What ranks do I need in all of these subjects for...
OMG there was no Gough Whitlam!!!
So much for our school preparing for that :(
But I BSed my way through the UN and Migration :D
and communism was so easy :)
I predict I will get these bands:
Maths - Band 6 (definitely got 96+)
English - High band 5/Low band 6
Geography - Band 5
History - Band 5
Science - Band 6 (maybe band 5, I'm depending on alignment)
Computing Skills (for the lols) - High Band 6
I did not study for: Maths, English, Science...
It was an okay exam.
MC was pretty straightforward.
Letter was easy.
Creative Writing was my worst one because my story was more reminiscing instead of following a story -.-
My one was about a prisoner who lived in exile and he looks at his family's photographs and experiences a different...
Just a simple question. What would you do in your reading time for any School Certificate exams? It's 10 minutes long!
I would try to see the extended response questions and go through MC... Wbu?
I honestly believe you should take English Advanced. Remember, it is your right to take the subjects you want. The head teacher can't say that you can't do it because you are not within a high rank - if you complain they might use background excuses such as insufficient teaching staff, class...
Like for History, Geo, Science and English responses, how hard would would they mark us? Because our Hist/Geo coordinator is super stingy about giving marks to a student that are within doubt...
I have a very strong mathematical background. Coming 1st in my grade in maths...
So, will it be essential to get a tutor, given that I already do Maths and English tutoring?
Or should I make a head start instead by using the textbook instead??? :confused2:
our maths trials don't go my reports cos we accelerate :P
tips for english? For multiple choice, really think about the question and use elimination if you are stuck, or go on.
also for extended response write as much as you can with correct grammar and text type structure.
learn your techniques...
Yeh we had our trials I aced everything except history and geography -.- I got 72 and 78 respectively -.-
But overall, 96 in maths, 88 in english and 93 in science :)
wbu?
Well i'm just gonna do one Maths past paper and see how I go..
From there.. any mistake I made with a question I have forgotten or unfamiliar with, I'll just fix them up and do some light revision on those... Anyway it's all good.
But I'm going to study hard for history/geography and a bit in...
