Almost no jobs in the biomed field in Australia

Up and coming scientific fields in Australia and worldwide?

Geology degree in the petroleum sector is your best bet, you'll have a hard time even getting a job with a BSci in anything else, except maybe physics or maths

    Chances for acceptance through feas?

I got into Mining through FEAS with an atar of 85, I think it'll probably come down to how you interviewed and your life outside of school. Assuming you talked to them and came off like a normal person and you do things outside of school that might involve responsibility or leadership then I'd...

    Vacancy courses from last year

Apply for this http://sydney.edu.au/future-students/domestic/undergraduate/access-sydney/flexible-entry.shtml If you're within 5 atar points you should be able to get in. You could probably get into UNSW Chem Eng with 85 through this http://www.eng.unsw.edu.au/feas if you wanted to.

Can I do Civil Engineering with 2Unit math or?

Yep definitely. I'm doing mining engineering at UNSW which is exactly the same as 1st year civil. I did 2U maths and got a band 4 and I'm going fine. Didn't do a bridging course or any prep either. Basically as long as you do the work you should be fine.

Chemical Engineering - UQ vs UNSW

They're pretty much exactly equal, I would just work out if you want to stay in Brisbane or Sydney and go off that.

    Field trips

There aren't any real risks. It's all a hypothetical risk assessment for the bureaucracy. If you want real risks check out the mining field trips... Field trip should be awesome, can't wait.

Which sort of Engineering has the best job oppurtunities

I passed Maths 1A at UNSW with only doing 2u (and getting a band 4!) and no bridging course or self teaching 4u content or anything. It really wasn't too hard...

    Bonus marks?

I got into UNSW Engineering with 85 atar. Got in through this, http://www.eng.unsw.edu.au/feas . If you have good extracurriculars and are able to talk without sounding like an idiot you'll get in.

    PHYSICS Supplementary Exam

I heard its pretty much just the same as the exam we had already. Some advice: I couldn't do any physics questions until the week before the exam, I skipped 50% of the lectures and I passed. What I did was work through the past 4 years of papers with solutions and just use the solutions every...

    Help choosing 1st tear elective

I'm doing MINE1010 at the moment. It's ridiculously easy. 75% of the assignments have been short presentations, so basically a powerpoint without much writing. Is not hard or time consuming at all.

    Are Engineers salaries this bad

Anything over 50k is good for a grad of anything. Petroleum/Mining has the highest average grad salaries, usually ~85-110k as of last year. Don't base your decision off that though, going into a career purely because it pays lots is a terrible idea.
