Thanks for responses. Found this off usyd website re: atar cutoffs:
•2005 99.6
•2006-2009 99.55
•2010 99.65
•2011-2012 99.7
So, it seems to have fluctuated both up and down quite a bit - so with an immense amount of luck the cutoff may well fall (although word is law is on the rise)

Hi,
I received 99.65 in the 2012 HSC and was wondering what the likely cutoffs for law at usyd and unsw would be for entry in 2013. Is there any chance usyd would lower to 99.65? Or is it likely to stay the same as last year (99.7 usyd) and (99.65 unsw). If the cutoffs are the same as last...
Fair enough, just me being pedantic haha
From your other posts it seems like you really knew your stuff/ blitzed it.
You should be expecting a fairly high raw+aligned mark.
mate not to be a dick or anything, but each booklet has 3 pages of 25 lines. you claim to have written 6-7 words per line and used 10 booklets.
thats 6 x 75 x 10 which amounts to at least 4000 words for your essay alone...
Thanks for your input. A group of us spoke to the teacher again on Friday, so I will just have to wait and see what happens when marks get back.

Yeah many thought the question was ridiculous. Past HSC papers have specfied monetary for internal balance (i.e. price stability and full employment), fiscal for distribution of income, resource allocation and economic activity, and micro for strutural change, productivity and efficiency. Also...
I can see where your coming from, but isn't the aim of micro policy to increase productivity, efficiency and international competitiveness in various product and factor markets? Sure, it leads to an increase in aggregate supply and subsequently increased output at lower prices without the...
Hi all,
We had an eco stimulus essay assessment task today. Question was:
Analyse the government policies used to achieve economic internal balance. The stimulus given were the most recent statement on the conduct of monetary policy, a graph of the unemployment rate and the new tax table.

The multiplier or 'k' is = 1/1-MPC or 1/MPS.
MPC = change in consumption/change in income. So in this case change in consumption is 200 - 110 = 90, and change in income is 300 - 150 = 150. Therefore MPC = 90/150 i.e. 0.6
So the multiplier is 1/1-0.6 or 1/0.4 which = 2.5.
Therefore 2.5 x the 40b...
