You're on the right path. Whilst most are under the impression that the Board Of Studies uses a highly sophisticated mechanism to calculate marks, they are sadly misinformed. In fact, they get your raw exam mark and the six overlords of the BOS committee take turns rolling a six-sided dice...
Hey guys,
can someone please give me an ATAR estimate?
School rank: 20
3U: 1/115
4U 1/40
Bio: 1/65
Chem: 3/110
Phys : 1/80
Eng Adv : not sure of exact rank, its around 15-20/150
Is an ATAR of 99+ possible?
Thanks
So you're saying that you ngo everything bout chemical earth/metals as it "comprehensible." Besides metals isnt that easy, although its fun.
I suggest that you improve your approach to modules in order to secure a comfortable learning environment for the HSC. If not you will think that like...
Thanks for the help. I forgot to consider that x < -2 means x+2 is negative and x>-2 means its positive. And also thanks for the advice about wolfram alpha. Its pretty cool. lol
Hey guys,
For the question [x + 2] > 3x + 7 can you tell me what answers you got so i can check if my answer is correct. The [ ] denote the absolute sign.
Using my tutors method, x + 2 < -3x -7 and x + 2 > 3x + 7. So the final solution is x < -5/2. Is this right?
When you get your HSC results back and you do 12units, do you receive your mark for your top ten units only OR do u receive your mark for all 12 units but only your top ten units are taken into consideration for your ATAR????
Just wanted to know,
What are the Chem, Phys and Bio Olympiads? Do you represent your school or do you do a test and get selected for a national team?
How do you apply for this [ especially at Hurlstone ] ? Do you have to ask permission from the science headteacher and sit the exam? Also does...
Favourite : Biology, Physics and Maths - great teachers and love the content!!!!
Don't Like : English (cause of content and teacher), Chemistry (like the content, but the teacher has "unique" teaching styles)
Well i didnt mean that i procrastinated too much and didnt study. I still study quite frequently, and I feel that with tutoring I would probably study more and get more notes.
Are there any good tutors for Biology in the Fairfield - Liverpool area? I heard Matrix is good for sciences but its just too far and takes too much time for travel.
Also how would you properly address the dot point - Compare osmosis and diffusion. How many points would you need.
Are there any ways to get bonus ATAR points? The careers advisor at my school said Duke of Ed but personally I'm not that interested in it.
Post your suggestions :)
