Our school has accelerated IPT, where you start the prelim course in yr 9 and do the HSC in year 10. I did it, got. That's not very good by our standards, if you put into perspective that I'm aiming for 99.75. (But then again, the highest in our grade was 94, so it wasn't terrible, I suppose.)...

I don't think shorter periods are better. Our periods are 1 hour (or 55 minutes, I can never really tell), five periods a day, and I'm fine with them like that. It means that even if we go off-topic there's still time to learn the work we should, and if the teacher's late, the period isn't...

7:30, school starts at 8:50... Which explains why I'm always so rushed *sigh*

Haha we have a semi-formal this year with the boys school :) And I have my dress (from America! xD) and a clutch but no shoes to go with it... So much money. D:
