The Extended responses were f**ked... overall, fair exam.

    General Thoughts: Legal Studies

Crime question was fucked. And I did Kony/ Blood Diamond and how the media represented the issue of child soliders/ slavery as something that could easily be sold. Family law was kinda hard. World Order was fine.

What exacty did people right about for CRIME?

That justice can be achieved by legislation and other means. I referenced cases such as Skaf (with evidence- jury system), fines and Gordon Wood, the Aboriginal boy who got sent to jail for a stolen freddo frog, that really recent news story about that 10 year old boy who killed his father, doli...

    Section I - Multiple Choice

It was okay. Manageable. I hate trig, I prefer algebra and financial maths.

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

Hard, challenging, when I saw it I was shocked, but once I got that feeling, i progressed through. Hoping for a mark of 75+ Finished the paper in 2 hours and 15 minutes

    General Thoughts: Food Technology

Because I did enjoy year 9 food technology. We had awesome, fun assignments back then such as recipe and menu production, creating diets and recommendation dietary, it was intereting. It's just food tec is incredibly frustrating. You memorise 300 pages of content, and the exam will only use 75...

    General Thoughts: Food Technology

Like all food technology exams, it could have been 2.5 hours. The multiple choice section was difficult, urgh stupid fermination question, but it was pretty straight forward. Alot of questions about our own research tasks, assignments and products, etc. I'm just happy that I never have to do...

Why Is It That Most People Don't Consider UOW An Option?

Accomodation there is terrible, very competitive. Unless if you have family there or are willing to live in a near by apartment, don't bother. From what I've heard however, it is a good university.

    SIBT vs. INSearch

Note that you can always go to SIBT, and then transfer throught to UAC to UTS- yet they may take into account your ATAR. If money is an issue, and say if you get an ATAR in the 60s-perhaps you are better off doing commerce at say, ACU and then transfering- you will need to get good marks at uni...

Tips from 2012 HSC students to 2013 students

For individual subjects: -Legal Studies: Be informed. Watch the news, read articles, do your own research about your elective topics (in my case, World Order and Family), watch Four Corners. I personally loved Legal, its my favourite subject. Know heaps and heaps of articles, legislations- it's...

A discussion for the Average BoS user ~ How are you going with your Study/HSC/etc

    >Need an ATAR of 73, would like to do a B.F.A/ B.A at UNSW. I do actually want to go to uni, job prospects don't concern me that much, I know the hard work that is required to make it in certain industries. >Don't do any science (: >I struggle in ''easy'' subjects such as General Maths and...

The Loaded Dog: HSC exams - Sun Herald

Re: The Loaded Dog: HSC exams - Sydney Morning Herald How is this post poor? And lol, as if this is an academic argument. Just some idiot who thinks heaps of paragraphs = great argument. And what generalisations did I make? Please tell me, I'll explain my points a bit more.

The Loaded Dog: HSC exams - Sun Herald

Re: The Loaded Dog: HSC exams - Sydney Morning Herald Oh your post makes me so angry, there are so many things wrong with it, it's ignorance and assumptions, I honestly don't know where to start. • Just because I think their are flaws against competition, doesn't mean that I am...

The Loaded Dog: HSC exams - Sun Herald

Re: The Loaded Dog: HSC exams - Sydney Morning Herald I do agree that the landscape has changed since then, academically. I'm not saying that the HSC is the root of all evil in life, but it sends out the message of competitiveness is always the right thing to do to get ahead. Should you try...

The Loaded Dog: HSC exams - Sun Herald

Re: The Loaded Dog: HSC exams - Sydney Morning Herald +1. It's incredibly annoying and kind of sad that I can't remember the last english lesson where the words "HSC exam'' weren't mentioned. Remember a couple of years ago when people were going all up against anorexia/ bulimia? All those...

who would rather go fight in a war than doing hSC?

Honestly? War. I find soliders really attractive and hot.... not some stupid exam room monitor.

How many times have you read through your texts for english?

Immigrant Chronicle: Heaps of times, I'd say 9 Gattaca (related Belonging text): 10 + Letters To Alice On First Reading Jane Austen: 3 Pride & Prejudice: 1 and 1/2 Wag The Dog: 3 Hamlet: Skimmed through it

Focusing entirely on 6-8 units? aka Not Studying for General Maths

General Maths doesn't actually scale as badly as people make it to be. It's not like its Standard English. It's an incredibly stupid plan. It is hard to get 100 in any subject, and if I were you, I'd be trying my hardest in all of your subjects.
