Ah I loved that "the best weapon is..." question. So much scope for well anything. Yeah I saw that essay one, that was a shocker. But I'm not going to say it can't happen again, there's evil in this world... and that most certainly resides in the English Department.

Sedmo there have been FAR FAR worse creative questions than the 2010 one, I'm scared of what they can do. Can't remember what year this one is but seriously wtf... Imagine you are an external investigator inquiring into the cirucmstances and revelations of the crime case in one of the...

English Extension 1 All Nighter Thread

Yeah I've gone through all past creative questions and honestly some of them have been shocking. They could pull anything on us, so I'm just drawing up some rough plans for a few characters and a few scenarios as a safety margin. Candidate are you sure you can write 1700 in an hour, let alone...

English Extension 1 All Nighter Thread

I'll see how long I can stay up... Essay is pretty much good to go, (almost completely memorised and ready to change to most questions). Creative though, I'm writing up some small plans. Probs no point writing a full one at the moment. If worse comes to worse I'll make one up in the exam, but...

    Worried....

Creative writing. I'm confident with my essay that's for sure. Creative, I can do fine for other topics. But crime writing I don't know... I find it very very hard to write crime and when I do something I criticise the crap out of myself for it being too cliché.

    General Thoughts: History Extension

Questions were not too bad. I wrote plenty for each, but I stumbled around with the first question, I had all the content but I just feel my wording was all over the place and thus my argument is there but 'scattered'. Q2 was a surprise because I thought context had been done recently and...

Using case study historians for Q1?

I guess you could play it safe and work on other historians in relation to Q1.. Is Taylor (in your plans) a necessary part of forming your answer for Q1? I haven't come across this before and I may be wrong but I wouldn't think it'd be a problem, seeing as you can't copy the same argument to...

Help choosing a topic for major work - much appriciated :)

Hey RunsWithScissors, First and foremost find a topic you are passionate about. If you don't you will not enjoy the process one bit. Secondly find something that has a large scope. Three try and go against the grain a bit and go in depth on something that's not going to be overdone by the...

    Multiple Choice

What did people find hard about multiple choice? Personally I found them to be really basic questions, I think only one stumped me which was to do with wording. The one where it says she checked her watch after crossing the line. I feel like that would be delayed...

Anyone got some ideas on some curveball questions they could throw this year? Or at least what are some of the areas you guys find hard?

    Hsc pdhpe

Yeah I wouldn't count on it being too highly scaled... I've never heard of it being that well scaling before anyway. Can anyone decipher those uac tables on scaling for me lol? Maybe then we can get some better ideas about it.

    Hsc pdhpe

Yeah I find refreshing + doing basic questions (mp and short answer) just helps for me. Probably revise over some harder areas, because I bet you there will be some high markers regarding Ottawa + social justice etc. etc. Anything above my raw trial mark of 88. Hopefully mid 90's... you?
