Ok I analyze S4 in short, just for now
Please, it is recommended to only use season 1 to season 3 because it shows the most progressive and narrative rich context and techniques content of Community when outlining them for English
UPDATE: Community now is on a regular Schedule of 7PM Weeknights on the new SBS 2 channel, dedicated towards younger demographics of Television watchers of the globe, your chance to freely catch up on these episodes, otherwise I really don't like those ads
depend on your questions... I can't say which 1 is easier, they all have their own features ;) just make sure you'll find the poems that are the easiest for you to analyze and then connect it to community ;) that is my tip
I graduated before season 4 airs so i can't use season 4.... i did a whole series essay, for me it's much easier to connect the progress of the characters that way
in a lot of episodes!!!!! jeff or abed being alienated with their identity or pierce and shirley with his/her faith or age, britta and her humanity cause and whatever it is... there are endless of non belonging stuff to it, not to mention CHANG!! and the school itself
depends on your taste and conception, the best and most convenient for me is "The Pilot" but other episodes can be as equally as great or better, only less convenient to explain the characters background that's all ;) seriously 85% of Community episodes fits so easily with syllabus of English...
This is an interesting sight on the EVOLUTION of Community Characters
Community Then and Now: The first 3 Seasons
May contain Spoilers for those who haven't watched
There wasn't anything specifics in community about actual governmental politics, but if you observe the power of the Greendale insitutions and it's impact of the students that should be political enough ;) unless you have a specific question about what aspect of political discussions are...
To be blunt also, I reckoned you get more of the first winger speech than that with the whole interextuality, especially with references to the pencil, sharks, and ben affleck!!
LOL!! Friends reference :p
No I do not recommend using modern warfare episode at all for related text, it's suppose to be just about an episode that is FUN, AWESOME, HEAVENLY, HARDCORE, PERFECT episode for entertainment. However it obviously lack in textual reference compared to other Community...
By the Way Community now have their very own Convention!!! and below is also a very informative article for English students as it is a reflection on the creator of what the show is about :spin:

Dan Harmon Reflection of Community in Communicon
it's about a transformation afterall ;) if you think about it, it's like "PIP"s Journey is parallel Jeff Winger as a character, despite the inverted financial expectations journey of both characters (Pip growing up to be a gentlemen and Jeff growing up to be a more accepting friends and leader...
depends on what main prescribed text you are doing? I did Romulus my Father for instance and something to do with family and cultural values in general would be something to talk about ;)
so what is your prescribed text?
nothing since I finish High School xD and I ended up just being very much going out with friends a lot and resting and do whatever you would all dreamed of xD
although my study goals for first year is to do well for all subjects so that I can transfer into the course I want for second year :)...
