Ahh yes I see what you did was you used 1 of your GEN EDs to do Arts eletives as it is a course outside the faculty. The free electives are actually ASB electives if you look in the handbook it says you used these to complete a third major (it says on the business website at the bottom) or just...
Actually there is no free electives but rather Business electives only from the ASB faculty. This is to allow you to complete 3 majors within the two degrees. To see how much you have left if you are doing 2 majors add up the UOC you will do within 2 majors (+ core courses and flexible) and...
1. Replace MATH1031 with another course which has NO prequisites and don't do FINS1613 because I think it's full but maybe it's not. If you don't want to transfer and DON'T want to major in mathematics in the science degree drop MATH1131 with another course and keep MATH1031.
F33l free to...
If you want to do Comm/Econ I would recommend you look at the handbook ( http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/programs/2015/3521.html ) as it will tell you what courses you need to do before you graduate. Free electives will count towards your WAM in comm/eco as long as the elective is...
Sure thing you can do Discrete Maths. Since I am also doing the degree I choose: ACCT1501, ECON1101, FINS1613 and MATH1131. Now I have used 1 of my free electives do the finance course but that is up to you.
EDIT: Since you want to transfer I would not do discrete and do something commerce...
You have 2 free electives in your degree which you can do any subject from any faculty. You cannot do Math1031 and Math1131 and ill use this analogy. Let MATH1031 = General Maths and Let Math1131 = Advanced Maths. You see if you do Math1131 (2 unit), you can't do general maths as that is the...
You can transfer at the end of the year after you have completed 36 UOC (6 Subjects) and it will be a IPT so only your WAM will be considered ( check here: https://student.unsw.edu.au/ipt-business )
From UNSW handbook "Note on possible substitutes:
ECON1202 The following courses are adequate substitutes: MATH1031 or MATH1131 or MATH1141 or MATH1151.ECON1203 The following course is an adequate substitute:MATH1041 A student is also entitled to an exemption from the sequence ECON1202 and...
Yes if you do Math1031 it will count towards your science degree and you can't do Econ1202 which means you must do an extra economics elective (if you do Econ1202) you must do a science elective
Hey dude, i am doing this but i am trying to transfer out into Commerce/Computer Science. I would say the jobs in commerce (such as finance) are possible. As for Accountant you need to drop the science degree and do a single eco degree and double major in eco and accounting
Re: UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2015.
