    I used to have that problem too... Then I go with questions like "what are you going to do this summer/over the weekend?" People like to talk about what they enjoy doing. Then if we click and the conversation keeps running, it keeps running. If we just cannot click then I guess there are people...

    You can always start by talking to your friends or professors or whoever looks like they're informed. The earlier you begin collecting information the better I think.
