Thanks mate for the reply. I know Macquarie is a good university for business and i actually don't mind staying at UMACQ. but is it really recommended/necessary to go to UNSW/USYD, if i wanted to pursue IB? Do you know anyone from Macquarie that have pursued it or careers similar to it?

You both are right, but honestly it depends which employer it is at the end of the day. I also meant that it would be easier for a student from such school without experience of any kind, to get a 'first' job (during university to get some sort of experience)

Couldn't agree more with the posts above. Especially the resume part, it's true to a large extent that having attended a private school or top selective school WILL definitely enhance your chances of landing a good job!

Hey guys, I didn't get into Commerce at USYD/UNSW, so do you think this degree would be a better option? Job careers prospects? How is the degree, do you get any work during the degree, like internships etc? Any student that is studying/have studied it, please comment. Thanks

A law degree is a simple degree, nothing special unless you go to USYD, which is where the more professional careers and higher job employment chances kick in.

If your main career choice be engineering related, engineering/project management (USYD) would be much more appropriate.
