REALLY!? I was under the idea that law cut-offs were quite strict. Knowing that it's one of the degrees that only accepts limited bonus points (especially at USyd, and I haven't applied for EAS because I don't think I apply to any of the conditions and want to get into my degree on my own...

99.40, achieved my goal I set at the start of the year. But more overjoyed at the performance of my cohort hahaha they absolutely killed it :) Especially happy considering I fractured the wrist of my writing hand 2 months before trials

srs, just stop. This argument isn't going to lead to anything remotely beneficial to our understanding of how they'll mark that question. Only thing that will happen is that some people will feel bad and others will get offended. Not worth it.

Honestly don't worry about the ethanol question anymore, who knows what will be considered correct or not until we get our papers back anyways. No point arguing it mercilessly here when not one of us can confirm with 100% certainty whether their opinion is correct or not.

+1, our accelerants from last year who all got in the low 90s in their trials only managed mid to high 80s in the HSC, and a majority of their marks were lost in 6-7 marks questions

It isn't really a valid point to talk about its use as polymers and stuff because ethanol isn't used for...

IMO cut-off for band 6 will be around 78-79. Higher than last year, but not 80 because that would see too dramatic an increase from last year. However, I wouldn't really be surprised if it is 80 because the exam was quite straightforward in comparison to previous HSC exams.

None of that is really chemistry based, and is not in the syllabus at all. It would be very hard to get those marks if you've argued about ethanol as a beverage, you'd damn near have to have a state rank quality response when talking about it and be convincing as hell to get all the allocated...
