I have actually been lucky enough to be awarded this scholarship. But I really want to do a co-op.
If I get into a co-op, I'll be rejecting this and so one of you may very well get it :P
And I'm sure there'll be others in my position as well so don't give up hope.
Yeah I am a bit worried about that as I did exactly what you did in your solutions. I mentioned that the ratio of area is equal to the square of the ratio of sides.
Hopefully it's valid, but I don't recall being taught that in school so they might not take that as a valid method.

So how would you determine the answer? Like Aaron said, wolfram alpha does show a root at pi/2. But my calc and a graphing calc says otherwise.
Would they end up putting 2 correct answers? That would be great :)
