Don't worry I'm clueless too haha. But I think it's your rank sent, and the 15th highest HSC mark (in your cohort) for your subject is xx, then you get xx, given that you're ranked 15th, for your assessment mark (50%). And YOUR own HSC mark is yy, and you get yy for your HSC mark (50%). And xx...

HSC is 50%, don't forget that. Your assessment mark may be if-fy, depending on your rank and how your cohort goes. But also, you're aiming for UNSW, consider other universities for your UAC preferences, like macquarie, UWS, ACU (I'm not sure if they offer the courses but they typically require...

There's so much to take into consideration when it comes to ATAR. But I reckon you should work your hardest nonetheless, even if your ATAR peaks at 70-80 (it shouldn't, given your school's ranking). You can't really work x amount to get 90 ATAR. Just try your best and if you get 90+ congrats :)...

CAFS seems much more interesting in my honest opinion. If you're interested in families, parenting styles etc it might be the one for you. But it seems like you really like the writing and memorising subjs (eng, legal, ancient, bio), so maybe modern history would be good as well since it suits...
