Free High School Maths and Science Help for Sydney Eastern Suburbs

If you are a high school student, or know one who need help with mathematics/science in the Eastern Suburbs area, let me know! I'd be happy to cycle over to your place, or to a public library if you want, to help you out for free. There is no catch. I'm a 19y/o university student with a good...

    AAA AWARD at UNSW

I did have a UNSW course as my first (and only) preference. I think you must have both a UNSW course as your first preference and the highest ATAR.

    AAA AWARD at UNSW

I received an email notifying me I was eligible for the AAA award on the ATAR morning, so I believe it is an automated thing. The school was trying to figure out who had the highest ATAR because a few students were overseas/on a plane. I knew I had it because I had received the email, but I kept...

Fuck yess that means I got 20/20 for multiple choice

    Chemistry paper thoughts

On the ATAR notes suggested answers thread. People are saying that it must be A because the cell reaction needs to have ions of 2+ oxidation state. If that's the case it is A, if not it is B as it has a higher EMF but aluminium has a 3+ oxidation state.

    Chemistry paper thoughts

Is the answer to the multiple choice question 16 really A? I thought it would be B, as those half equations have the highest resultant potential...

    Exam thoughts??

The ball's trajectory is impacted by the elevators acceleration, not velocity. The elevator could be going extremely fast outwards from Earth but as long as it doesn't accelerate, the trajectory would remain unchanged due to it being in an inertial frame of reference. Since the elevator is...

    Exam thoughts??

I can verify that I got roughly 7.5 Joules. I also got the trajectory slightly above the original one.

    Exam thoughts??

I think it was a pretty easy exam. I finished with plenty of time to spare. Here's a couple questions for everyone: What did everyone use for their three discoveries including the electric generator? Did anyone else freak out when they saw eV and didn't know what it was? For the solar panel...

    Mathematics Extension 1 Exam Thoughts

Could someone explain how the circle geometry perpendicular proof worked? That is, the second part to the circle geometry question.

Luckily the outback image worked really well for my creative piece.

    Section 1 - Stimulus

Yeah I was totally hanging out for a visual text they are always so easy to score points on. That six marker was harsh as well...

    Need Help - Probability Question

Hey guys, Could any of you show me how to do this question? An unbiased die is rolled n times. What is the probability that the product of the scores is an even number?

How do I stop making silly mistakes??

What would be an example of a poor algebra mistake that is often classified as a silly mistake?

    static equilibrium question

To me, this is more of an engineering studies question than a physics question, but I'll give it a shot anyway. Since the stick is in equilibrium, the clockwise torques must equal the counter-clockwise torque. \tau_{cw}=\tau_{ccw} In the diagram I made, the clockwise torques were the...

Best way to learn Extension 2 yourself?

I've heard from my teacher that mechanics is the hardest of all topics, but I've not learnt it yet.

Best way to learn Extension 2 yourself?

Complex numbers is a big topic and it requires you to think fundamentally differently about maths more than any other topic, so I'd say it has the steepest of all learning curves. Integration and polynomials are probably of equal difficulty given you have the required 3U knowledge. Graphing is...

    Ozone and oxygen molecule reactivity

The decomposition of ozone usually refers to the formation of diatomic oxygen. This mean ozone's double bond is not broken, only the coordinate covalent bond.
