She sounded really mean :(
And it's a math lecture clashing with a comp lab, but I didn't even mention that to her.
I guess I need to fill out that form now? There's a similar form for waiving prerequisites, but I just emailed them for that.
The woman on the phone said no,
This form implies yes - https://www.maths.unsw.edu.au/sites/default/files/clash_form_2015.pdf
I already asked the lecturer and even he is fine with it. Any info is appreciated.
UPDATE - That same woman enrolled me after I got the lecturers approval.
Out of curiosity, do they include a subject completed in the summer of your first year?
Not sure which year a summer unit would count for. The year it starts, or the year it ends?
Of course one of the COMP2121 lectures is on friday.
My dreams of a 4 day timetable are slipping away.
Oh, I was looking at the wrong year schedule. The dream is alive!
Oh okay. I've been considering it, but then I don't exactly want to do 1B in summer (or 16s2 and miss yet another COMP unit). I'll see how it goes, I think, but maybe I'll see you there in the end anyway.
I would love an update, because I emailed Sri two weeks ago and got no reply. I emailed him again yesterday, and nothing yet.
If I have to retake 2121, I would like to do it now as well. I should hunt him down, actually.
I think I'll just do it the normal way. I don't gain as much as I thought by doing both at once. If I don't do both at the same time then I'll just have to take one elective that is unrelated to my degree, which isn't tooo bad.
Going to be a strange semester as a 2nd year Comp Sci student with...
lzlzlz, this seems like relevant information for you.
I thought she misunderstood, so I sent
I did not know this was the case... in fact I hardly even believe her. She was 100% correct about my credit transfer though. I'll still look further I guess.
------------------------------...
I have Operating Systems in my course plan for next year, so I think I'll see how I like that before I decide.
So many things I want to do, I almost wish I didn't get credit for everything and had to extend my degree by an extra semester...
I've not tried to get anything waived yet, I'll email them about it first I guess, and UWS. I got credit for (all) 8 subjects including Discrete, just not 1917 specifically. I wouldn't have given me credit either though.
