    need help/advice transferring

    I think that if you really do want to major in environmental engineering then stick with UWS and transfer to UTS/USyd. No doubt it's gonna be hard to come back from a failed unit but at least you have a fallback plan whereas if you get stuck at Macquarie majoring in something you don't like...

    How to withdraw from a course, and accept another offer. HELP PLEASE

    Can confirm that it is actually that easy. They'll send an email to your UTS email acknowledging your withdrawal and that's basically it.

    USYD/UNSW/UTS Law Transfer

    I'm assuming you have only done 1 year's worth of your current degree so I'd say your chances are pretty slim for USyd and UNSW given your ATAR. Not sure for UTS law though, they tend to be easier on grades so you might have a chance. USyd and UNSW require at least Distinction average (paired...

    Transfer Comm/Law (UNSW) to Comm/Engineering (Usyd) questions!

    No problem - glad I could help! I'm a late USyd transfer as well. Long story. :) Yeah you might have to do an extra major or something if you're graduating straight B Com at UNSW but it depends if you've done a lot of electives (good point by the way). Double degrees aren't exactly my forte ...

    Transfer Comm/Law (UNSW) to Comm/Engineering (Usyd) questions!

    May I ask what you're majoring in for Commerce? USyd Business School has a policy that you have to complete at least half of your major at USyd. But if you major in Economics or Econometrics, you can work your way around it (it's a tiny loophole) since these are now part of the Arts and Social...

    Feeling that it's too late?

    OP, you are at your trials period. This is a good time to start pulling up your socks. Remember you always have a choice: give it your best shot and ace those exams or mess it up and climb from rock bottom. You can definitely change those marks OP, it’s not too late at all. Wishing you all the...

    Internal transfer

    Not too sure about internal transfers for USyd ... I got 80s WAM at UTS (did the business degree) and received an early offer for USyd commerce so I'm guessing 70 WAM may get you in but you'd probably be better off aiming for 75+ to be competitive.

    Comm/Law Transfer from UTS

    I'm pretty sure (but nonetheless don't quote me!) that even when you've transferred universities still keep your transcripts, unenrolled and all. I know they do this at UTS - I am living proof. As for the selection criteria, I think they take the marks for your most recent course (I've...

    help me please D:

    Yep, no internal course transfer for the Design, Architecture and Building faculty unfortunately. You can go about this in 2 ways: 1. If you have enough ATAR points (I am assuming you're in 1st year), change your preferences through UAC as your application is still valid for the mid-year intake...

    UTS property economics -> USYD commerce

    I can confirm that Distinction average will get you an early round offer to USyd commerce (I am living proof). So I'm guessing for Main round high credit will suffice (but don't quote me). And if you don't want to waste time do subjects that will get credit over at USyd. Good luck!

    questions about b business textbooks and study (please help!!)

    Your group project is going to be about creating a possible solution to the wicked problem you are studying for the subject. What you need for a HD mark is a good group with somewhat good writing skills (you all will need to write a report on your project), good presentation skills, and the...

    Week One: I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING. ;-;

    Easy. My answer doesn't change much. Consider going to U: PASS. Or if you're lucky enough to get a tutor called Atieh don't bother. She's the best. The subject really isn't that hard. They hold your hand through most of the concepts.

    Week One: I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING. ;-;

    Not quite. The U: PASS program is run by students with an overall credit average or above and a D or HD in the subject they are facilitating in. The subjects that U: PASS offers are those with the notoriously high-failure rates. IBP is not offered in U: PASS unfortunately. It's mainly...

    Week One: I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING. ;-;

    It's good that you're worried and all but you really need to calm down. It doesn't take that long to find your bearings in effective studying for uni. Now, to answer your questions ... 1. Yes, the course outline is basically your guide to the subject. If it says there's reading, textbook...

    questions about b business textbooks and study (please help!!)

    Okay I'm going to make this plain and simple: Do. Not. Buy. The. IBP. Textbook. You don't need it for your assignments. Most of the marks for IBP are dedicated to your group project so try (might be the luck of the draw unfortunately) to get a good group. Also the law textbook is only slightly...

    questions about b business textbooks and study (please help!!)

    I take that back - didn't realise the textbook changed! Maybe take a quick look at it in the library to see if it's useful enough to buy it. Sure but if one of those lectures is accounting then make sure you do it behind Tyler's back. And you better leg it fast unless you're sitting near the...

    questions about b business textbooks and study (please help!!)

    From my personal experience, definitely get a hold of the accounting textbooks. Trust me, you will not survive without them and you need it if you decide to dedicate 10% of your overall mark to homework (I highly recommend that you do it). If you did economics for HSC then you probably won't...

    Length of processing time for a credit transfer

    Hey KeepCalm, I just transferred from UTS (BBus) to USyd (BCom (Liberal Studies)) and the credit transfer took me exactly 10 days. I applied for it at around the same time as you did (24/01/15). Anyway this is what I got back: 26100 IBP = BUSS1002 21129 MPO = no credit 22107 ABDA = BUSS1030...
