Just a question for anyone at UNSW right now who doesn't have a private ensuite, what is it like using the shared bathrooms? Are they clean and semi-private or is it just like a school change-room or something? I really don't know, and I'm debating whether to apply for a room with a private...
I've done 9 practice exams on MedEntry and my percentiles for section two are ranging from 15 to 91. However, lately my section two percentiles have been dropping, the last four exams I got 24, 38, 24 and 15. What does this mean for the actual UMAT? Am I doomed or is this something common and...
I saw the guide, but I'm wondering about a good "general" aim that applies to a majority of universities. I know it's a bit vague, but's what a reasonable goal, something that I could stick up on my bedroom wall and if I achieve that I could think "I have a decent chance at medicine"?
I know...
Each uni has different requirements eg. 90 vs 96 ATAR for Monash and UNSW, some of the requirements don't even mean anything e.g. 150 for UMAT won't get you an interview at UNSW even though it is a minimum requirement.
I know it varies for each university, but in general, what is a reasonable...
I know this question has been asked many times, but no one has asked for a few years and I want to see if things have changed.
So, if you did UMAT in 2015 or 2016 was it similar to the medentry course? How was each section in terms of similarity and difficulty? Thanks!
I just did exam 1 on Medentry, and my scores were as follows:
Section 1: 33/48 (86 percentile)
Section 2: 31/44 (89 percentile)
Section 3: 23/42 (68 percentile)
Overall: 87/134 (84 percentile)
Could you please tell me what type of percentiles in the actual test I am heading for, and whether I...
Calculate the first six terms of zn=(zn-1)3-0.4i for
a. z1=0.8
b. z1=1
I'm not sure what the 'trick' to this question is. It's simple enough to find z2, but I'm confused how to continue after that without having to manually calculate each term.
Can you give a diagram of the inside part and the outside part? I can sort of visualise it, but I'm not sure whether the outside part includes the stuff after the line (if you make a line from point A to point B and to the left is the locus, the stuff on the right).
I went to the MedEntry workshop last week and did the trial exam. I thought I had done a lot better, but these are my results.
Percentiles against MedEntry students for each section:
Section 1: 75
Section 2: <40
Section 3: 75
Expected percentile for actual UMAT: 65-75
As you can see...
I'm not seeing much improvement in my scores, so I'm wondering what the best way to use Medentry is. What's the best way to improve each section score with Medentry (e.g. Eureka, drills, guides, etc)?
I'm more enquiring as to whether my marks would be high enough to get into medicine, rather than my suitability as a medical student. I know that there are some very intelligent, almost genius-level people who apply to medicine each year, so I'm wondering if averagely smart/hard-working people...
