    Post-HSC Bucket List

I rate small business for work. I've worked at mine since I was 15 (had a break for year 12), and have loved it. I reckon you feel more responsibility in a small business and work with a smaller more close-knit team. Just ask businesses you go to regularly (that's what I did) to see if they have...

    Fishy Ranks

lol I can't login either. That's really strange then... why not just put in equal first??

    Fishy Ranks

That makes a lot of sense too. The only thing I was also thinking, is that I think (my teacher and I discussed this a while ago so I hope I remember this right) the said first ranker actually beat me by 0.00000...1. I guess then maybe that could also be why? Can two equal first ranks be...

    Fishy Ranks

Yeah that's what I thought, it sounds a bit strange. I don't know what to do because I've already called and been sort of alright with it, but the more I think about it the more it doesn't sound right...

Question about music 1 HSC System.. HELP

    1. So you choose 3 topics, 2 for 2 electives and one will be both your core and an elective. 2. The piece you play should be indicative of the topic - so yes, a jazz piece should be played for a jazz performance. If you choose Instrument & its Repertoire, you must play a piece written for the...

    Fishy Ranks

Hi guys, When checking my ranks today on Students Online, I discovered that my rank in maths extension 1 was second, when it is actually equal first. When talking with my school, they justified it by saying that the ranks are as they are because the first ranker does maths extension 2, which...

    How did everyone go?

I got 88 degrees after changing it from 77 - a few ppl said 77 was actually right so idk. I didn't talk about GLC AND HPLC, I just compared the principle of AES to chromatography, and used GLC as an example. Last exam wowzers - what is this actually having a life thing of which people strangely...

    How did everyone go?

That was really good. I changed my answer for the temperature from the right answer tho so now its wrong rip... Lol well I think it was right.

    SIgnificant Figures?

Sorry to ask another stupid question. How many significant figures should we put our answer to if there is multiple different ones given - I would probably use the lowest or match up the correct thing I'm trying to find with the correct thing if you know what I mean. e.g if concentration was...

    Organic and Inorganic Tests????

I didn't do quanta but I usually reference E=hf and unique energy levels, therefore discrete energy packets resulting in unique frequencies emitted.

    Organic and Inorganic Tests????

I cannot put my hate of organic and forensic chemistry into words. The questions are usually quite generic until they throw something like this in.

That made so much sense thank you so much !!!!

Decrease Pressure (Increase Volume) - Le Chatilier's Principle -Change in Equilibrium

Re: Decrease Pressure (Increase Volume) - Le Chatilier's Principle -Change in Equilib This isn't my number one subject, so personally I simplify things down a bit. For an exam, I reckon it would be suffice to say that by Le Chatelier's Principle, a decrease in pressure results in a shift to the...

    Curve/LOBF

When should we use a line of best fit and when should we use a curve of best fit - see 2005 hsc chem 22. I drew a curve and believe that it is more appropriate for this instance, but the marking criteria references a line and intersecting point. The conquering Chem solutions talk about two...

Do you have to state LCP everytime?

Don't go overboard but I reckon better safe then sorry just to emphasise it - e.g by Le Chatelier's Principle the equilibrium will shift to the endothermic reactants side to absorb introduced heat. That's what I've always done so idk, but I think it's right.

    Pre-Exam Thoughts

I'd just go over past HSC back titration questions again and again and again. 2016 q29 2014 q30 2011 q26 Just practice that process several times and hope for the best. So sorry, no revolutionary tips here.

    Inorganic/Organic Tests???

Thanks so much!! Yeah OK when I had a closer look that was what I assumed it had to be but the marking criteria confused me quite a bit tbh.

    Pre-Exam Thoughts

It will either by like physics and absolutely great, or like biology and be a bit strange (didn't sit it so am only going off anecdotal evidence here). Should be OK up until funky last calculation where I predict a challenging back titration with all this confusing information that isn't needed...

    Inorganic/Organic Tests???

Ummmmm.... what exactly are organic and inorganic tests??? - see 2010 HSC chem 36dii? I hate chemistry so much... was enjoying it until we started all this organic rubbish in forensic.
