Also our school starts trials next Tuesday and I am stuffed; chem is the last exam and I haven't started studying for anything because my major work took way too long :(
my trial is going to leave me weeping on the floor at least...
Hi Im sorry if Ive confused you, as I said earlier hope can have different meanings not just the wishful thinking one you are saying that it means. If it helps you can answer using the word "faith" but that isn't really what I mean.
Hope is hard to describe I did my best before but maybe I...
Biology is a really interesting subject but is quite time consuming Im pretty sure its the longest syllabus in the HSC. But then you get to learn about so many different things and if you are someone who rote learns easily as seems to be the case from what you've said then you shouldn't find...
Hey everyone... english exam 1 for the HSC is 105 days away... panic mode starts in 5 days.
( last exam is 126 days away ) praying for November 4th to come quickly
This depends on how you define "hope",
hope is something that drives you and gives you confidence for the future because you know that what you are hoping in will prevail, hope is to trust that good will happen and be certain that what you hope will prove true and have a confident expectation...

Hey there! :) yeah I had seen that thread and I was quite intrigued but some of the discussion got a bit out of hand. And this thread is different as it refers to more specifically the link between religion and hope not just the existance of god which undoubtedly would appear here as it has to...
Are you then saying that there is no hope at all?
Without hope what is it that drives you? how are you able to look to the future and say hey its gonna be ok? Is it possible to live with no hope. Is it not true that Humanity needs hope because as soon as there is no hope there is no will to live?
Thanks for all your replies its really interesting hearing peoples perspectives on hope and religion how they interconect.
Can we please try to be respectful to other religions even if you dont believe in them or agree with the person who is saying things about them !!!
Thank you :)
Well as far as I understand, but Im just a student doing the HSC myself...
The exam mark you get will still be shown on your certificate. The raw assessment mark will not be shown. The assessment mark shown is the exam mark of the person who placed in the exam the position you placed in the raw...
My intentions in posting this were to allow people to delve into such questions of existance and the notion of hope. It is an abstract existential question and I am glad that it allowed you to think about life's meaning and your views on this. Maybe I should start a new thread about what hope is...
Hey Jana1201,
This depends on what you class as an OK ATAR mark
My understanding is in the assessment marks its really the ranking that counts and then the HSC exams.
The assessment mark on your HSC certificate is the exam mark of the person who ranked what you ranked in the assessment marks...
belief in God is a personal decision and needs to be carefully considered. What I am asking is
If god does not exist is there hope and where is that hope found (i.e. in family )
does the existance of hope in life rely upon the existance of a god (i.e. would there be no hope with no god)
Is there hope in the world without a god? If so what is this hope, where is the basis of this hope found? If not what hope does this God bring to human life or what do you do without hope in such a world as this?
I think that it is important to bring up these sort of topics once in a while and...
